Hello Jenn!
I was wondering about my fanfic. It will take me awhile to still pick some characters for it. But still thanks for letting me use your's! But I'll tell you on dA when I'll use them. Cause, I want you to tell me what you thnk about it. Soo, anyway. I'll make another fanfic of dragons. If you would interested to know? But thanks! Letting you know about this. ;) (Btw! I'm talking about the mission Hazer, Jenn, comic/fanfic. XD)

yeah, I thought so too. That's why I wasn't to interested in livestream to begin with. I also heard that there can be quite a lag between your actual screen and the contents being streamed. I just wished join.me would accommodate more viewers on the free account.

I personally prefer join.me myself. It's so tiny and lightweight. What do you have to install for LiveStream? I hope it's nothing too huge and resource intensive.

I don't have a livestream either because I'm also a Join.me user. But ever since they started reducing the number users who can connect with a free account down to 9 others, I'm seriously considering livestream. Wonder if there's a limit on livestream.

The good thing about livestreams are that you can still watch them after they are over.

Well thanks, Iv'e gotten rude P.M.s about her lately and I'm trying to get advice. Also I had well years ago when I was three, a chow chow. Not full breed. she had 60% kangal in her. very thick hair I must say. Thanks for the advice too, I never thought about the %s.

You need to see what she is before you post this comment. I mean you can, but it's not the comment I was looking for. I will tell you the mix in her. (I'm sorry I don't know how to make bases) She has part pitbull 80%, german sheperd 20%, regular collie 10%, 60% irish setter. And her tail was docked. Any more questions? Stop on to my profile. C:

O' Cap'n My Cap'n!
That's a tough one, AWJ, as all mixed breed dogs really are. Without a genetics test, it's almost impossible to truly discern a mix and what it consists of. Clearly, with the brown and black saddle markings and coat, I'd say there is some German Shepherd Dog in it, but I have never in my entire life heard of a "Miniature German Shepherd"...and I don't believe such a thing exists.

As to the rest? Clearly there may be some sort of hound in him, based upon the ears and head structure, and maybe the size. But Labrador Retriever? Unlikely. Especially not a Black Lab. It would show. And Labs are, like German Shepherds, large dogs. This one looks, at least from the photograph, to be a smaller dog. I'd suggest maybe a small hound or gun dog.

(continued from previous comment...)

I've seen many Border Collies up close, and have seen a few English Shepherds in my travels (a friend who regularly attended one of the dog parks I used to take my two Australian Shepherds to had two English Shepherds). Believe me, there are slight physical differences. When you have experience with both, you get to learn how to spot the differences for what they are...subtle though they may seem to a lay person who simply looks at pictures online and then uses them for conclusions. When you're talking about two breeds which are superficially similar, you have to go deeper than just similar pictures with similar coat markings. You have to look for those subtle physical differences. And between English Shepherds and Border Collies, there are some physical differences which may not always be readily apparent to the lay person.

O' Cap'n My Cap'n!
It's possible. But English Shepherds are often marked exactly the same way. And you have an issue between the Border Collies shown on that link about saddleback borders, and the dog shown in your original link -- the fold and position of the ears and, again, the amount of fur around the head (and the ruff around the neck). Borders are not known for ears that lay quite so folded as seen in that first link. The breed standard, in fact, calls for "semi-erect" or erect ears ( http://www.akc.org/breeds/border_collie/breed_standard.cfm), where it specifically states:

"Ears are of medium size, set well apart, one or both carried erect and/or semi-erect (varying from 1/4 to 3/4 of the ear erect). When semi-erect, the tips may fall forward or outward to the side."

The English Shepherd, on the other hand, while not recognized officially by the AKC (American Kennel Club), is officially recognized by the UKC (United Kennel Club), which has a breed standard for it ( http://www.ukcdogs.com/Web.nsf [...] ingDog/EnglishShepherd01012008). Pertaining to the ears, it reads:

"EARS - Wide at the base. Folding over approximately ¾ down and laying close to head."

This is what you are seeing in the first linked picture you were asking about. For further evidence, note the "saddleback sable" coat color on this page about English Shepherd coat color variations, and then note the position of the ears on the dog shown, and the quantity of fur around the ears: http://www.englishshepherds.net/color.html.

What I believe you're looking at, AWJ, is a very rare herding breed, closely related to Border Collies and Australian Shepherds, called the "English Shepherd". Info:

In my opinion it looks like a Border Collie mix. Of what I'm not sure. Perhaps JC could be of better assistance.
