Troll berserker
So Judy's two neighbors, Bucky and Pronx Oryx-Antlerson are a big question in the fandom. They are two males of different species who share the same last name. Is it true that they are a married same-sex couple?

It's on the wiki - which, according to the Minor Characters page, is
trustworthy enough to be considered canon - that they could be. I
assume that's as definitive an answer as the makers want to give -
especially in light of the official take on a similar issue in Finding
Dory. |

I haven't seen other interviews and surely I haven't seen an answer to
this question anywhere. |

Well, we delved into it briefly in the forum topic about Nick and
Judy. Still, if she would like the question to be asked, I will
certainly pass it along. It's up to Byron to decide how to answer it.
Besides, I can't prevent anyone from asking a question that has
possibly been asked many times before (and I'm willing to bet that
this one has)...I can only suggest and plead. |
- they refer to the line of lemming businessmen (who are in line for Nick's pawpsicles) as gerbils;
- they refer to the "Official Guide To Zootopia" being in error for using a concept sketch of what was to be Nick's father (an abandoned character in the earlier, darker story line of the movie which was also abandoned) as another character, Dr. Frank Cunningham...who does not appear in the movie of course. He was created with an ad for the guidebook. And, while it was published by Random House Books, it was copyrighted and authorized by Disney, which makes it canon now. They simply were looking for another drawing of an anthropomorphic fox, and settled on that one. They are not in error. But the mention appears on the Mr. Wilde character page.
However, any interviews or tweeted replies to questions, by Byron Howard, Richard Moore and/or Jared Bush obviously are to be taken as canon as well. And the final answer to any questions they have answered.
