History

Leao-hain was born in Nutley Copse to a pair of rabbits who were friends of the Chief Rabbit.Her brothers eventually managed to get themselves in the Owsla,but because of the Chief Rabbit. She,however,was an independent and proud rabbit,and never needed the help of the Chief Rabbit to get what she wanted to.With a healthy dose of pride,self-confidence and a fast mind,Le

ao-hain attracted many bucks,not only the ones of her age,but and the older ones.One of them was Fleawort,three-year old captain of the Owsla,and a strong,good-looking buck.Everybody advised her to take Fleawort as her mate,but she was unwilling.Fleawort already had mated with few other does,and had a bunch of kits,some even old as herself.

Before she had a chance to decide,a terrible thing happened to Nutley Copse.Woundwort and the Efrafans attacked Nutley Copse and destroyed it.Not many rabbits managed to run away,but most of them were imprisoned,including Leao-hain.The Chief Rabbit and most of the Owsla were killed,Fleawort too.

Leao-hain was separated from most of the rabbits from Nutley Copse,put in a different mark,and never herd anything about most of her warrenmates again.Grief and rage about the destiny of her former warren had led to her enormous hate towards Efrafa and the General.Even when she mated with Captain Oak and bore him a litter of kits,she was determined not to give Efrafa the satisfaction of having her kits as Owsla members or any other use to Efrafa.

Her kits,however,were often visited by their father and listened to his stories in which he glorified Efrafa and Woundwort.Most of the bucks wanted to become like him,proud Owsla members and loyal Efrafans.It seemed only Blackavar,the only kit who inherited her dark fur,noticed her hate towards Efrafa and listened to what she said to him:“Efrafa should not have more of you than you are willing to give.“

When her mate,Captain Oak,died on a wide patrol,Leao-hain felt grief.Oak was a good-natured rabbit,and if he had been a part of another warren,Leao-hain would had loved him truly and deeply.

When her kits grew enough,Blckavar,who idolised his father since his death,was sent to another mark for an Owsla trial.Leao-hain was dissapointed that he,along with his siblings,followed the path of serving to Efrafa.However,she felt sorry for him when he didn’t manage to join the Owsla.

When Blackavar’s try to escape was punished by ripping his ears and being showed to everybody,Leao-hain felt like she herself was punished.She was not allowed to console him,or even talk to him.She griefed for her favourite kit as hard as when her warren was destroyed,even harder,althoug Blackavar was Efrafan through and through.

Leao-hain was as happy as she could be when Bigwig and Blackavar escaped with some Efrafan does.She knew that Blackavar would be happy now,even if the General caught them.To be free,even for a little time,that’s all that Blackavar wanted.

When Woundwort and most of the Efrafans died,and Campion returned as the new Chief Rabbit of Efrafa,Leao-hain had been struck by an unknown disease,and was on the brink of death.Campion knew that the Black Rabbit will soon come for her,and he had no heart to tell her that her beloved son had been killed by Woundwort.

Leao-hain died from the disease few days after Campion became the new Chief Rabbit of Efrafa.
