History: He was born in Efrafa to a cold, unloving family.

In his early days, he was a well-behaved young kit. But as he grew up, he witnessed many examples of the warren's horrible treatment of its prisoners, and he began to pick up the same abusive behavior.

A couple years later, he became separated from his fellow Owsla officers during a wide patrol, leaving the place behind after a reprimand from General Woundwort.

He soon happened upon Lienahlay, and joined it, becoming an Owsla officer almost overnight. Ragweed's time in the warren was short-lived. A year later, he was forced out by Gentian, Lienahlay's chief, due to several incidents of bullying in the Owsla, all of them started by Ragweed; one officer died from their injuries. Before Ragweed left, he was bitten on the back of the neck by Gentian, forever marking Rag as an individual unfit for warren life, and unwelcome in any currently established warren.

He has been hlessi ever since.
