Personality: Dunite is a quite weird rabbit.He doesn't have a clue about the life in the wilderness,and only wants to go home,to his owners.He doesn't know how to behave,and has no limits when his words are hurtful or not,and because of that,he is extremely honest and tells you what he thinks about you right away.He does not fear humans,or flee when they are around,very different from other rabbits.He also doesn't know anything about elil,and that makes him dangerous to hang with.It seems ony Clover has patience to try to teach him the wild rabbit ways.As he is kicked out of WsD,he becomes obsessed with revenge on Hazel,and plots with Gentian to destroy WsD.

Fatal Flaw:  Ignorance-Dunite has no clue of living in the wild.

Plotting: Dunite gets a tremendous amount of ideas of revenge.

Weaknesses:

 Ignorance: As said,Dunite doesn't know much about living in the wild or among other rabbits. 

History: Dunite was born in a hutch with few other siblings.In the very beginning,he was the biggest of them all,and the thoughest in character.He was a purebreed dutch,and he was sold to an owner who loved to enter him in rabbit shows when he grew old enough.Dunite was a champion rabbit,and he enjoyed being pampered and winning awards.To him,nothing compared to the feeling of being the first in many other rabbits,and he had wished no other life that that.He grew bigger than ordinary dutch,and he was mated to some does in breeding causes.He never liked those does,or had any wishes to meet his kits.He wasn't even able to.

As this goes with pedigree animals,Dunite was stolen by some men who tried to get some money by blackmailling his owner.When the man who kidnapped him tried to escape from the farm in which Dunite lived,carrying him in a sack,he was caught by a policeman,and threw the sack before the policeman saw him.The man was still aressted,and Dunite was trapped.He managed to get out of the sack,but he was completely lost.The copse in which he ended was far enough from his home for him not to know how to return,but he was lucky to meet Bluebell,who took him to Watership Down.

Dunite didn't know what to think of Watership Down.He was never without human company,and he didn't know how to behave with other rabbits.With a sharp tounge and incredibly honest nature,Dunite stepped on many rabbits' toes right away.Bigwig and Holly tried to teach him the ways of wild rabbits,but he keeped attracting human attention and getting himself into trouble.

When they all lost patience with him,Clover sympathised for him and befriended him.She always defended him when somebody judged him or accuse him.She was his only close friend in Watership Down,and Dunite enjoyed her company.He started imagining him and Clover leaving off,returning to his owners and having a good life together.He knew Clover would never agree on something like that,but he could still imagine,right? No,he didn't love her,or had a crush on her.He had no interest in having her as his mate,he knew she loved Speedwell and their kits,but she was such a good friend he never wanted to lose her.

After accidentaly lurging some humans on the warren,Dunite felt true Hazel's anger,and the whole of Watership Down (except of Clover,of course).He was bannished from Watership Down,and forbidden to go anywhere near the down again.Dunite was angry on Hazel,and sworn to himself he would one day get revenge on him and his rabbits.

Not being careful from rage,Dunite was attacked by an elil on the bottom of the hill,almost teared to pieces if two hlessil didn't save him.He ended up with scars and teared ears,and when he recovered,he refused to travel with the hlessil.He decided to stay around the down,planning revenge for Hazel and his rabbits.

Dunite was found by Captains Rush and Lindrithray when he was wandering in the heather.They took him to Lienahlay,and Gentian became interested in his hate towards Watership Down.Dunite learned Gentian's story about wanting to have Thethuthinnang,and found a perfect way to get his revenge.Through Gentian and Lienahlay.
