History:
She was born not long after her parents became mates. She was second born out of her litter, making her an older sister over the others. As a kit, she retained her father's attitude, wanting all the work done and done right. Sometimes, she would boss around the other kits, which lead to some heated discussions with her and her mother. When she was a few months older, her father finally got to discipline her, which sort of back fired, as instead of becoming wonderful and nice, she turned into her father even more, which turned out to be both a good and bad thing. She grew protective of her younger siblings, which kept them out of trouble, but, she also showed a side that had rebel written all over it. Since her father had tried everything he could, she was now left to her own devices.
When she was a year old, she began to show a more exploratory side, traveling all over the down, until Blackberry was assigned to watch over her. She grew to like the buck, and learned a lot from him, gaining clever and wit. She gained a crush on him, until she felt that he was a bit clingy, and lost interest. But, now she knew how to out-smart enemies, making up for her loss in strength. Out of her litter, she was the tallest, showing a body type that neither of her parents possesed, which earned her a few looks. Soon, she met Fiver's mate, Vilthuril, who seemed very understanding. After that, when she had an especially bad fight, she would go to her to express her feelings. Soon, she met Threar, Vilthuril's son, who at first seemed a little strange, but she later gained his trust, and he is now like another brother to her.
At the age of twenty months, almost two years, she was quite the rabbit. At that time, Watership Down was visited by rabbits from another warren in the heather. One of the rabbits, Gentian, unsettled her, and she agreed with Fiver when he said they needed to leave. The next morning, when they silflayed, she watched as Gentian asked her mother if she would like to be with him. Thankfully, she declined, which Poppy thought of as a blessing. During that time, when her mother was out, she would look after the kittens, showing a motherly side over them. Later, she went on one of her adventures she wouldn't return home from.
That day, feeling more adventurous than most days, she decided to go down the south slope of the hill, bringing Threar along with her. They wandered across the border, and in a strange, new place, she was confused, hopping in many directions. Eventually, they found shelter in a hollow log, and while resting, they were ambushed by a cat, who got to Poppy, while Threar bolted. She was found by a few rabbits, who got rid of the cat, and quickly took her back, leaving Threar to go home alone. She met a rather chipper young fellow named Tinder, who sort of overwhelmed her at first, until she got used to it. Even though she thought it was coincidental, a rabbit from the group called Rush had planned the entire thing to please his chief, Gentian, who was obssesed with Thethuthinnang. The plan was to kidnap her daughter to try and get her to come after Poppy.
While there, she met the unsettling buck, whom she deemed unsafe mentally, which she didn't share with the others. She also met Rush, who was quite unpleasant, and she found him rude. In this strange, new environment, she acted frightened and uncertain, much unlike how she was at Watership Down. But, when she met Lindrithray, she felt an attraction to him, but dismissed it, as she didn't know him all that well. Soon, he became her designated guide, showing her around their warren. Now, as she began to talk to him more, she realized her feelings were more than just a little thing to dismiss.
