Rusati: With him being her older brother and her being blind, he is quite protective of her, bonding them closer, but also driving them apart. They are best friends, and nothing can break the bond that they share. Close as the toes on your paw, it is said that even after death they will be together, with him as her protecter.

Arkose: Even though at first, he was unwelcoming and not very friendly with her, she managed to get him to open up to her. Now, he is her protector at Watership Down. He acts like he doesn't care about her, and that she doesn't matter, but she knows what he actually means deep in his heart.

Moss: Her father is very close to her, and he gives her advice on the world that she cannot see, describing it for her. He is protective over her, and was the first one to object to her leaving Efrafa. She knows he only has good intentions, but she feels as if he is trying to rule her life.

Mental

Personality: Independant and bold, she won't let anything stand in her way, not even her own blindness. She is shy only when she feels that she is embarrased. Rebellious, she often doesn't follow orders, which makes her quite the handful. She has a very sharp tongue when it comes to someone insulting her, and will make any rabbit cringe, including Bigwig. But, sometimes, Nahlay is kind and caring, making her seem like she has been a mother before, even though she has never had any kittens. Inconsiderate about how she treats others sometimes, she can be snippy with them, making her seem very curt. Stubborn, she doesn't accept help easily from others, except when she believes the Black Rabbit will come for her. Loyal and trusting, she is a good asset to any warren that she feels she is a part of.

Strengths:

Speed: Due to her being a bit thin, she can run easily, darting around enemies and dangerous places.

Seeing Abilities: She is able to see what rabbits actually feel in their hearts, making her all knowing.

Hightened Senses: She may not be able to see, but she can smell and hear twice as much as a normal rabbit.

Weak: Since she isn't too strong, she can be knocked over easily or be swept down a river quite easily.

Blind: Since Nahlay can't see, someone can easily sneak up on her if they're quiet enough.

History:

The moment she was born, Silverweed had a vision of a blind, poor kit. Taking pitty on her, he gave her some of his seer abilities, hoping to help. This is the reason his mind was weak enough to be taken over by Fiver later on. Nahlay was born around the time that Moss, Heather, and the others settled down in the ruins of Efrafa. Out of a litter of two, she was the second oldest, but not the runt. Her brother was, but that didn't much change his life. When she opened her eyes, her parents were shocked to find that she was blind, and gave her a name that literally meant 'blindness'. Growing up, her brother, Rusati, protected her from many dangers and threats, mostly other kits of the Warren that tried to make fun of her. It quickly stopped though, due to her brother always being there and she was the Chief rabbit's only daughter. Her mother tried to show her how to dig, but she was more interested in standing on a small hill and listening to the world around her. Often she would ask her father, Moss to tell stories about past events, and he told her about Watership Down and how wonderful it was. Often, she asked about what their Warren looked like, and her father said it was dark.

In one of her dreams, she saw the walls of Efrafa and heard the screams of innocent rabbits dying. She tried to help them, but she could never find them. When she awoke, she knew what she needed to do. She needed to leave. At first, it was just a distant thought, until she had more dreams like that one, but they got even worse. Soon, it pestered her mind, and she planned to do it. She learned all she could about the location of Watership Down, and hoped they would take her in. She was ready to go, until they caught wind that Woundwort and an army of rabbits from Darkhaven were going to Watership Down to do battle. Then, her father, mother, and brother kept her confined inside the Warren so that she couldn't escape and get hurt, or possibly killed in the battle. Her father wished they could help, but the rabbits had slightest the clue of how to fight, and a sickness was sweeping around the Owsla. She was about ten months at the time that this happened.

When it finished, her father suggested waiting until the heat of battle died down. So, she planned to stay for one more month that quickly turned into two. Finally, she was allowed to leave with an escort from her brother to the border. Once she went across, she found herself lost throughout the day, until she was eventually found by a patrol when she nearly drowned in a river. They brought her back, where she healed after her swim, and was quickly welcomed by Hazel. She made quick friends with others, except Arkose, who took some time. Meanwhile, Blackberry trained her in herbs, which came in handy when Bigwig or Arkose were ambushed by elil. One day, she got hungry, and decided to go down to the farm herself, as she couldn't wait for a patrol to get back. When down there, she was attacked by a cat named Tabitha, who nearly ended her life.

When the patrol returned, Arkose noticed that a certain blind doe was missing. He followed her scent snd found her at the barn. He managed to distract the cat whilst she escaped. This is how they grew a bit farther apart and how she got a huge hatred for elil.
