Ethile: “First.” Ethile was the largest of the litter, and he was considered certain to take his father’s place in the Owsla. However, Eth’s brutish and cruel nature resulted in his being kicked out of the Owsla and he stormed off, leaving the warren for good.

Sithile: “Second.” Sith was average sized for a buck and doesn’t get too much attention in the warren, but he is good-hearted and well-meaning in all he does.

Desthile: “Third.” Des is a very no-nonsense buck who knows his stuff, and after Eth left the warren, Desthile is expected to take over the Owsla after Bigwig.

Kimthile: “Last” or “Final.” Kimthile is the only one who does not go by a nickname. He is greatly smaller than any of the others, despite not even having been born last, as his name suggests – rather, he was third, and Des was last. He gets no attention among the warren and is very low in confidence. Kes likes him the best of her siblings, though, and the two are very close.

Blackberry: Kes always admired Blackberry’s intelligence and at a young age, rather had something of a crush on him. She grew out of that, though, even if she still enjoys being around him.

Kimthile: The smallest of Kes’s siblings, Kimthile is the ones she gets along with best. She understands him better than she does the others, and the two are pretty inseperable.

Bluebell: By far Kes’s favorite individual in the warren. Bluebell is one that Kes rather crushes on and she loves being around him. He often jokes with her, and at her, and she appreciates that he doesn’t try to be way too nice because of her father.

Blackavar: Kes goes to Blackavar when she wants to know things, because for a young doe who’s never left her warren, Blackavar seems to know everything. She retains quite a respect for him, and that with his personality works toward something of a formal relationship between them.

Hawkbit: Kes is one with an intelligent disposition and can’t stand Hawkbit’s slow wit.

Rivals:

Nelthilta: While Kes keeps it to herself, she isn’t too fond of Nelthilta. She and Bluebell clearly seem to have a mutual attraction, meaning Bluebell is out of reach to Kes. She won’t say anything about it, though, and doesn’t let it keep her from having Bluebell as a friend, at least.

Mental

Personality: Straight-forward and blunt, rather like her father, Kes is pointed in observation and not afraid to offend. She means what she says and says what she means with very few exceptions. However, she is otherwise quiet and self-contained, preferring to listen rather than talk. She loves listening to stories and constantly has a very curious disposition – she wants to know things and about things. She loves to listen to some of the more experienced rabbits chat for this reason, especially Holly and Blackavar, as she’s never been away from the Beech hangar. Growing up as the only doe in a litter of bucks, she grew assertive when the need arises and can be very ambitious – she doesn’t like to give up on something. She’s adventurous and wants to leave the down for a few days, but never really wants to go off altogether as a hlessi. She’s happy on the down. Kes often feels like she’s treated differently as the daughter of the buck who liberated Efrafa, and the captain of the Owsla, and she could be wrong about that. Whether she is or not, though, she prefers to be around those who she feels do not do her any favors. She has quite a volatile temperament as well – she’s difficult to approach for that reason. While she does have a great amount of respect for some rabbits, such as Bigwig, Blackavar, and Holly, she can be rude and cutting on a bad day toward most and has a hard time keeping herself in check on a bad day. On a good day, however, she’s a joy to be around.

Strengths:

Fast: Despite being fairly strong, Kes prefers to put stock in her speed. She can outrun most things – not Dandelion, of course.

Weaknesses:

Inexperienced: Kesthile doesn’t know much about the world – what she does is actually hypothetical.

History:

Kesthile was the fourth born in her litter. Her parents of course were Hyzenthlay and Bigwig. She was the only doe in her litter, and had four brothers. At the beginning of her life, it was greatly uneventful – nothing happened for the little doe until she got to be about four weeks old and went above ground. This was when she met most of the warren, and she was a bit overwhelmed – as a result, she ended up wandering off. How she managed to slip away from Hyzenthlay it hard to tell, but she managed it, and eventually ended up at the foot of the Down. She wandered there for a good two hours before she was attacked by a stoat, and just in time she was rescued by Blackavar, Bluebell, and Bigwig.

She was terrified when they saved her, but nonetheless, she was able to return to the down with them. Since, she never left the hangar.

As she grew, so did her brothers. Before long, Ethile became an obvious choice as an owsla member. By four months, it became abundantly clear he knew it, too, and he became aggressive and pushy toward his littermates and the other litters. He was particularly aggressive toward Kimthile and does. All the while, Kes did her best to ignore him. She had other concerns: Learning from Blackberry, whom she was growing increasingly fond of. She grew to have a crush on Blackberry, and though he could tell, she tried not to make it very clear. All the same it didn’t hide her emotions from him, and he just ignored it.

As she grew, though, the crush on Blackberry didn’t last. She continued to grow and with that, she matured. She found then that the rabbits on the down treated her a bit differently than they treated most of the others – and that was something she didn’t really appreciate. Kesthile began to avoid others. After about two weeks of self-isolation, Bluebell took it upon himself to make sure Kes could not isolate herself – he went out of his way to feed with her and approach her. At about 5 months of age, she began to really like having Bluebell’s company. He was one of the closest rabbits to her in the warren – mostly because he didn’t go out of his way to make her feel special or important. That alone had a huge effect on making her feel very special – in fact, he once tried to get her to go on a raid, but Kesthile’s father absolutely refused to let it happen. Most of the warren didn’t exactly appreciate that effort – and Kes wasn’t sure she would have wanted to go anyway.
