Story

The Threarah is the Chief Rabbit of Sandleford Warren. His name means 'The Rowan Tree' and he is the uncle of Silver, although these two facts, stated in the original novel, are not mentioned in the animated film.

Introduced as an old rabbit, he was known a strong, wise and strict leader in his younger years.

When Hazel and Fiver come to him with warning of the warren's destruction, seen in Fiver's vision, he ignores it and refuses to leave the warren. He berates Bigwig, the sentry who let Hazel and Fiver in, for doing just that.
