Oh, I think the argument about the date of action in Talespin is, for
me, pointless. Why? 'Cause, as Steet said, this world is FICTIONAL and
the events of real world's history wouldn't take place (for example,
II WW). BTW, I think Talespin contains the elments of dieselpunk
(alternative history) and fantasy (magic and tha stuff...) ![]() |

1937 seams to be the excepted time for the show. But if you go by
mankind's timeline the show would be much later at least after 1946
just because the use of Civilian Jeep's "The old man and the seaduck" |

It's a voluntary choice from the show creators to NOT give a date,
because it's not a realistic setting. (in another script that I
haven't posted yet, the scripts writers gave a date but Jymn (?)
stroke it.) If you REALLY want to give date, yeah, late 1930's seems right. |

TaleSpin's story plot took place in the late 1930's, theoretically
between 1937 and 1938 -- during the Golden Ages of Aviation. The show was produced and aired in 1991. Hope that satisfactorily answers your question. |
