I know Jymn wasn't working on 'DuckTales' in season 1, but I wonder if he (or anyone else) knows the origin of the shots in the opening that aren't from any episode (the shark, the mummy, the alien). The non-episodic footage in the 'TaleSpin' intro was created for the "red package" promo reel. I wonder if those shots in the 'DuckTales' intro were similarly part of a longer promo reel or concept reel, and if more such footage exists?
Those few brief scenes have a very cartoony, almost surreal quality to them more in line with a Looney Tunes short than the series that 'DuckTales' became. I've been intrigued by them ever since I was a kid, and have always wished a 'DuckTales' promo similar to the 'TaleSpin' one would pop up online.
