Hello :)
If we compare the Disney?s series of before with those of nowadays.
why don't we see that beautiful artwork more often? the quality
isn't the same any more.?the way to paint, the backgrounds. I remember as was seen the colors of the sea or the the forms of a cloud in Talespin by say an example. ...very nice ^-^
I know that now everything is more digital, the colors are of a single tone?there is not much detail.
Is more expensive? or the kids like the simpler series? because only the Animes preserves the quality of the scripts together with detail of the drawings, the way of animation and the use of CGI. although they be for children.
I expect that is well written

Money is the main factor. You can get ANYTHING to look good if you throw enough money at it. Things change as the economy changes. You don't see Snow White animation anymore. Tale Spin looks sick by comparison. But Tale Spin looks great compared to some newer shows.
CG is the new trend. Hundreds of talents cel animation artists are out of jobs because of it. Partially it's money, partially it's audience taste. But CG doesn't have to look bad, and most of it doesn't. Check out anything by Pixar - luscious!
Here's a little lesson in Entertainment Economics. Imagine a triangle with these topics at each of the points: Good, Fast, Cheap. Bascially, a studio can ask for two of the three points on the triangle, but not all three. So----
Do you want it good & fast?... Then it won't be cheap.
Do you want it good & cheap?... Then it won't be fast.
Do you want it fast & cheap?... Then it won't be good.
Writing is a completely separate issue. You can write great stuff that gets animated poorly, and you can write junk that looks beautiful. The really successful shows are usually well-written and well-art directed.

I'm myself a fan of traditional animation - I have never liked CGI and
still don't. Even though I think the Pixar films are good, to me they
aren't "cartoons" but more like live-films - they aren't as special as
the classics Disney films. Just take a look at the upcoming Princess &
The Frog to see what I mean! Also, Talespin is a TV series, so yes, it's obvious the animation won't be on par with animated films. Still, I consider the animation in Talepin to range from "correct" (Asians-produced episodes) to "very good" (France, Japan animation) But the most important is that Talespin has a great graphical style and character designs when compared to TV shows from nowadays! |

I Did not have idea
and that can do they? studying CGI? or just to work in some Tv series that have little CGI?
Me too Seet the traditional animation is the best.
I like the CGI but in the case of the traditional animation I likes that be just a little...I mean to stand out or to complement somethings.
