I mean, "Cloudkicker" fits the character, but it doesn't sound like a real name and more like a pseudonym.
We know Kit is an orphan, so is it possible he may not know his true name?
The other reason why I'm saying this is because Kit seemed to be hesitant when he told his name to Baloo the first time in Plunder & Lighnting.

One of the great things about fans is their attention to details... and then to extrapolate what those details might mean. I like all the speculations posted here. But truth be told, there was no great thought that went into Kit's name. "Kit" came from "Kit Colby"... one of the original mouse stars of Rescue Rangers (Metro Mice). Cloudkicker was simply an homage to Skywalker. (Or the original giveaway name of Luke Starkiller. Does THAT sound like a real name???) It's true, Kit might have been covering up his real name... but I really don't think he remembers his real name. Being an orphan (and having a love of flying), he may have made up his surname to suit himself.

Or he may have not been used too saying it and didn't like others
knowing. Who knows in the end, he may have or not, but I doubt he came
up with it there and then. When you think of it the Air Pirates have
similar names that fit their description. True he didn't trust Baloo much then. |

Yes, I agree, when you think about it...he told his name the first
time he got aboard Baloo's plane, and he wasn't trusting him that much
yet (remember his reaction when Baloo mentioned his "luggage") But it's also possible that he DOESN'T know his real name too... |

Actually it's pretty clear that Kit Cloudkicker isn't his real name.
In the pilot episode you may see that the cub hesitates to answer
Baloos question about his name. For me it's easy to tell that he's
hiding his real name because he didn't trusted Baloo in the beginnings
and sticked to his nickname for the rest of the series. |

It is a Native American name, well the Emglish translation of one (a
bit off subject but Bruce Lee changed his name from Li to Lee when he
went back to the USA in 1959). He could be part Indian then. He may have knowen something. I doubt he'd come up with such a cool name on the spur of the moment (I won't), he was probably not used too talking too friendly people and saying who he was. |
