Hey Jymn, and Mark, Creators of TaleSpn

A couple of fans came up with this theory of Rebecca Cunningham being Kit Cloudkicker's mother, being a firstborn child of hers, a child before Molly, whom she had lost.

I'm pretty skeptical about  this theory, mainly because the said fans also implied that Baloo is the father. I'm like: 'Well how can that be, when they only first met in Plunder & Lightning?  And they'd have to had already known each other when Baloo answered the door and saw Rebecca for the first time, he clearly didn't know who she was and there was no signs of recognition at all

I can accept the possibility that Rebecca might indeed be Kit's mother, but not if Baloo is the father, as they clearly never met before the events of P&L 

Kit was ever so respectful to her when he met her, acting like a little gentleman in her presence and is always seems to be trying to please her and make her proud of him and helping with trying to keep Baloo in line (Keyword: TRYING!). Rebecca even acts motherly to him from time to time.

So my question is this, is Kit related to Rebecca in any way, is he her firstborn son whom she lost? This is a question many fans have in regard to the Kit/Rebecca relationship.

Disney should made a story about Kit mom or dad. What happen to Kit mom? We can put togher what happen. We need clues.

Steet I can understand how you feel, but to me it's not unrelistic at all. belive me I sepnt many years doing fan fiction with using adoption as the base idea but, when I looked more at my idea and what I really seen in my heart it came clear to me that Becky was Kits mom you can't dispite that she and kit have the same fur color etc. I mean not to ofend any one I just have my personal view and there is other fans besides this board and others that see things like I do. I just had to say my feelings on Jymn he's really got under my skin on his thoughts Mark was the real creator of Talespin. and I might also add that in long Flight Home Molly called Kit big brother I see that as Molly knew it was playing In my mind. any ways look your welcome to see it how you want thats the joy of Talspin but I will alwats say Kits Becky and Baloos Boy Geneticly. and sorry I'm posting as not a offical member here but I do feel my opion matters. Kit Lee, I think what Jymn meant is that they never considered Rebecca to be her TRUE (genetic) mother. (that would have been very unrealistic) I agree that she did act motherly to him in some episodes. Maybe if there had been more episodes, Rebecca would have become even closer to Kit, and maybe would have adopted him. They ARE a family, but not in the genetic way : in the "feelings" way. (and I think it's even more important!)

Jymn I am disopointed in you as being Talespins creator err excuse me co creator.. you can say Becky wasn't concidered Kits mother, but that will not stop what fans feel. I for on will say this till I die Becky is his mother and Baloo is his dad. and thats my final anwser mr maygon. I can and will never belive what you say. your co creator Mark was main creator. and look soor that I feel upset and disopointed in your view of the show. but to me Kit's mom is becky or did you happen to forhet in 20 years that Kit smiled at Molly in part two of plunder and lighting as if to say hi sis long time no see again my personal opiopn but look at things for my prospectiove as a fan. Back then if your kid was born out of wedlock you were often pressured to give the kid up. Being only about 30 years old at the most Rebecca could have been a teenage mother with some boyfriend she had (censored) with at high school (happend back then as much as it does now) and seeing she was from an upper-crust family it does make a good story. As for Kit never being adopted back then they looked for "the right" baby for the family not the right family for the baby, meaning the kid could have been their child by looking at them and they were often told to make the kid think he or she was their child. What I'm say is Kit could have not fitted in with anybody. It could also fit Baloo although he was a dropout. And it makes sense he was not the father if Rebecca was the mother and vice-versa. Regardless of all that Kit does view them as family and Baloo clearly love him as a son (he more of a father figure to Kit then my real dad is too me) and Rebecca does care for him but does show restraint being his boss which I bet will be hard on her conscience and in P&L you do see her showing a real soft-spot to him when they meet but then backs off a bit in later episode's (for the most part), but she does care for him.

Mmm, no offense but that seems VERY far stretched to me And I think the ambiguity on Rebecca, Kit and Baloo's past comes from the fact that Jymn and Mark...never wrote anything on that and would probably make something up if they would write new stories (Jymn, it's up to you to prove me the opposite ) As for your theory/idea...fanfic time? I think it could be interesting to see Kit being the son of either Baloo or Rebecca in a fanfic, but I would rather not have this to become "canon". Adoption would be more realistic and would suit the mood of the series better, but even that, I don't see happening in an official way. I wish Boom Studios could finally decide to make TaleSpin comics, so we could have some answers.
