I am about to purchase my first airplane, an OMF-Symphony 160, and though I was into planes before I watched tailspin (basically since I was born), it is another key part of my interest in aviation. Just curious if other people here have their pilot's licenses or a plane and would attribute it in part to the fun they had watching Tail Spin.
Jymn Magon
Mark Zaslove and I talked about getting our pilot licenses during the run of Tale Spin... mainly for reference material. But as always, there was no time. But I'd still love to do that if I had the time and the money.

I certainly hope one day to get a PPL with IFR attachment, I'm
currently Learning the Theory side of flying which I have to confess
is really hard but can be learned over a Year of effort. I'd suggest to anyone that want's to learn how to fly to "download somehow" (You all know what I mean ) Kings school of aviation,
Jeppesen Theory Dvd's and books and for the UK the Oxford aviation
theory test software, These are also available for purchase on their
websites, You might also want to "Buy" Flight Sim X for the PC for the
practical side of Flying. You may as well know what's in store for You before You eventually decide to go for lessons, The Ground Exams are perhaps the worst of aviation but very entertaining and worthwhile to know without spending a fortune on Lessons. I would like to personally Thank Jymn and Mark for giving Talespin to the world and so many others which kept our backsides firmly in-place every Saturday Morning before the Arcades and contributing to the everlasting Memories of Childhood which I am honoured to have taken part in back in the 80's/90's, Your creations are the reason I chose to pursue Flying as a hobby and perhaps a future career. Still love to add "The Patch" to My Collection, Probably never going to happen I know but we can only have hope ![]() |

Oh yes, aviation is my dream and I would love to have the Sea Duck
made for the real world and me flying it If I have parts from a P-38 and a CL-215 and merge them together, that would make the perfect Sea Duck! :D Sadly there's no flight school around here and I don't like going to school far away. And I don't know how to get a license |
