Basic Information:

Connie is Steven's best friend and love interest. When first introduced, she's quite and introverted, but naturally clever and curious. As she spends more time with Steven, she begins to come out of her shell more and more, and even begins sword training lessons with Pearl to help fight alongside Steven.

Connie's parents, Dr. Priyanka Maheswaran and Doug Maheswaran, are very strict and protective over Connie. Because of this, Connie feels the need to lie about what she does with Steven, and, for a long time, didn't tell them about the magical adventures she goes on with Steven. This is eventually resolved however, and her parents allow her to continue her training.
