'The grey stallion walked over to Spirit.
''Hello there, old friend.''
He looked up from the ground in amazement.
''Desperado? How did you wind up here?''
''I got curious when I saw these men. They tied me up, then I wound up here.
How did you end up captured again?''
''The same men came back. I tried to lure them away, but wound up in the same fate as last time. I had to protect my mother and the herd.''
Spirit glared to the floor in sadness.
''I miss them.''
''I know you do, I miss my herd also. But don't worry. You managed to escape the first time, I'm sure you can do it again.
Whatever you do, do not give up hope. Promise me this.''
Spirit lifted his head with power.
''I will never give up. My herd needs me.''
Desperado nodded his head and walked towards the other horses in the carriage.
''He will save us all, don't worry.''
