Spirit's Brothers
Ok, so they're no his literal brothers, but these 3 Lakota horses are like brothers to Spirit in the movie. Interestingly, has anyone else noticed how similar their coats are to the 3 foals Spirit was playing with at the start of the film? I know they're no exactly the same, but hey, foals change colour as they grow up anyway...

Right, so if you’ve read my Genders article, you’ll know I consider these three horses to be male. And since they don’t have official names, I’ve given them fan names.
The one on the left of the picture I’ve called Duststorm, or Dusty for short. Why? Because I think he looks like a dusty/sooty palomino, although I suppose he could be a flaxen chestnut.
The chestnut with the Bircatcher spots I’ve unoriginally called Birdcatcher, or Bird for short
And the grey, who’s the closest one to Spirit in the movie, I’ve called Brother.
Dusty and Bird’s colours I got from this screenshot: http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i4/BlackHorse15/Spirit%20Official%20Screenshots/59116.jpg but Brother’s colours were much harder to get right, because we never see him in full daylight. We only ever see him in low light or nighttime, so I had to guess at his colours a bit.
