That's alright! Your message wasn't rude at all, we know how
annoying this kind of thing is.Maybe you could try posting links (under the stolen pics) to all your characters' pages, just to show the public (at least) that the characters actually have proper bios on a substantial site, rather than being deftly created on a roleplay forum or similar. |

Always like a siblings pic ^^ Don't let the thieving annoy you - that's unfortunately what comes with making Spirit image/renders, and/or drawing in a style that imitates that of the film; some fans appear to think it's all free to use because it looks like it comes out of the movie (or they believe it's actually FROM the movie - obviously not doing their research). I think ways to avoid the stealing is to either develop your own style (for both rendering and drawing), or put text all over the picture - my crazy theory is to put thieves off by practically COVERING the
image in written information! (Not just the credit/copyrights, but
also the character names, some plot description,a caption...). Or at
least as much as possible without making it look a mess |

Hi Way, I'm sorry this is happening to you and I know what you mean.
The problem is with Pinterest is the members will either pin your image off Spirit Source (which is somewhat better because there is usually a link underneath the picture which leads to your gallery) but other times they will just copy paste it, save it on their computer and then upload it to Pinterest - that way there is no link to the owner of the image and they can claim the character (who is usually renamed) as their own "RPG" character. https://www.pinterest.co.kr/bryannawargen/spirit-roleplay/ They also create boards especially to pin characters to use for their roleplays. Watermarks and putting "Animation Source" on your pictures does help, but unfortunately some will scribble over it or cut it out. Feel free to post links to websites with stolen images here - https://www.animationsource.org/board/watermark-sign-your-pictures-t36 764.html If there are members on AS who are also on other sites they may be able to contact some of the thieves. https://www.pinterest.co.kr/pin/410531322273531500/ Here is Lucius, Discovery and Io being renamed (they have been renamed at least twice now) |
