Jack-Rabbit was out grazing in the fields when he noticed a young mare grazing down next to the river bank, being the curious young colt he was, he thought he'd go down to investigate the strange but beautiful mare, he approached her with caution but she quickly startled and ran off, instead off making the effort to chase after her, the sun was beating warm, so jack-rabbit let her be, he walked back up to his grazing spot until he heard his master call him with a sharp whistle, so he jolted back towards the lakota tribe, but who was that strange mare and what was she doing to close to human territory?
