White fox, the sire of my mare, Kestrel, as a newborn foal. Like all greys, White Fox was not born white. Instead, he was born as a chesnut. Since his father was a chestnut and his mother, Diamond, was a grey, they didn't know whether he'd take after his mother or stay a chestnut like his father. Hence, when he was born, he was simply called 'Fox'. However, as he grew up he began to grey out, and they realised he'd be a grey like his mother and grandmother. Hence, his named was changed to 'White Fox'.
