Thunderbird was crushed. His beloved mate, Bree, had just died right before his eyes. He knew that she wouldn't be coming back, but he couldn't make himself accept it. It was after he'd been lying beside her body for a few hours that he'd realized that Ivy-his dear daughter-would be wondering where he and Bree'd gone. With a heavy heart and one last look at his mate, he turned to walk sadly back to the herd. He told Sixx what had happened and where to find Bree's body and then left to find Ivy.
Ivy, of course, was thrilled to see her father. She pranced over and leaped around him, giggling; though Thunderbird could only look sadly at the little filly. Ivy sensed something was wrong and walekd slowly over to Thunderbird.
8Where's mommy?* She asked, starting to get worried. Thunderbird let out a broken sob, closing his eyes and turning his head away from her.
*Bree....well, she's gone to visit her parents. She'll be gone a while.* He said, tears starting to fall. Ivy took a step back.
*She'll come back, won't she?* She asked quietly. *She'll be okay?*
Thunderbird glanced at his daughter and began to cry, and Ivy understood at once and, as tears of her own began to fall, stepped forward to hug her father.

TT~TT Thanks, Val, you hit me RIGHT in the feels! D': I'm sorry for your loss, though; both of Bree and you real horse. :< -hugs-
When I saw Val's image, I immediately thought of Ivy; Thunderbird and Bree's filly. She would be crushed, I'm sure, so this image was born. TT^TT
