Uncertainty

Wildfire and Balam had become good friends, and Wildfire knew that the Lakota had a crush on her, but she just wasn't sure how she felt about him. After all, it seemed like everyone she cared about got hurt or worse, killed. Is it possible that Wildfire could learn to trust that nothing will happen to her friend, or will she forever live in fear of losing her loved ones?
