It's not hard at all to find the right color. Secondly; what did you do to the lines? Lines are important and give shape to your horses so they don't look like blobs. Lastly; Saving the image as Jpeg. Probably the easiest thing to do in order to improve your images, save them as a Png rather than a Jpeg. The colors stay the same and your images don't get pixalized.
