Me then AT.
It was a cool morning and the little fresian mare walked slowly around the pond. The sun shined down on the mares white soft coat giving a glint of radiance. Stretching her stiff muscles from the night before.
Hooves solidly striked the ground as the massive ebony stallion thundered over the prairie. Two other stallions were chasing him, ears pinned back in madness. Rowan took on his fancy foot work and disappeared behind some rock outcroppings. Just as the other stallions rounded the corner the sly stallion jumped off the top of the rocks, landing squarely on the ground just to start running wide open once again. He plunged into a river, making it where the other stallions wouldn't know where to go. He swam a mile down, coming into view of a nice little clearing. Hooves grinding against the river's rocky bottom, Rowan trudged through the current and onto the bank. His ebony coat was gleaming from the water, his fit muscular body rippling with amazing power. His icy eyes caught a glimpse of movement to his side, but he didn't really pay attention to it.
The mare looked at the striking stallion, her eyes slowly drifted away though. She wondered about the stallion and if he was okay. " Hmm... " She muttered to herself. Light had a bright bubbly personality but the stallion made her feel confused, like something was grasping on her thoughts. Trotting carefully over to the Large Black Stud " Uhm Hello?..." Her pearl eyes widened, almost as looking if she was going to get hit.
Rowan stiffened when he heard hoof steps behind him, but his countenance relaxed when he noted that the weight of the horse was way to light to be another stallion. With a pretty blank face he turned around to become face to face to the most beautiful mare he'd ever seen. His brow cocked as he took in the scene of the pretty gal. Rowan was always a confident stallion and it didn't change right now, in a matter of fact he felt like showing off, but he witheld himself, "Hello little lady." he replied with a polite smirk. He had never tried to gain a girl, but he found himself trying to keep himself from flirting with the little mare. His icy eyes looked down to her lovely pearl like eyes.
Light trembled for a minute, but broke out into a smile. Smiling was one of her favorite things, it made her feel pretty inside and outside, importantly it made her feel confident and special. " Hi sir' " She replied back smiling directly at him. Light noticed the stallion looked probably a year or two older then her, but she felt love struck. Everything was casted out of her mind except for the stallion. Her pearl eyes met the stallion's, she blushed a little to the sight.
Rowan was dazzled by the beautiful smile she offered to him. When she called him sir he couldn't help but chuckle a bit, "You don't have to sir me. My name is Rowan." he noticed the slight blush that came over her tender cheeks. Rowan took a slight step further, "Now what's a lovely little mare doing out here all by herself?" he asked. He was curious, but he also found himself concerned for her safety.
She kept on smiling, Like the smile was stuck to her face. " Morning Walks, What can I say? It's a thing I do everyday. " She answered back confident with her reply. She held her head up high, " My names Light, and nice to meet you... Rowan.. " She stepped closer to exchange the glances between the two. She had a soft quiet voice, and her eyes smiled as well.
Rowan smirked at her choice of words. Rowan felt a tingle run down his spine when she stepped closer. He never believed in love at first sight, but it seemed to be slapping him in the face right this very moment. Light.... such a fitting name for this gorgeous mare. "What about a herd or...." he trailed off as he wasn't so sure about bringing up another stallion in the matter.
" I uhm.... Ran away from my parents when I was younger... It's just me here... " She replied " Don't worry, I would tell you if I had a stallion here " with a quick smirk and a giggle. Light seemed like she had read his mind, but actually she knew he wondered about it without asking. " and you, Why are you here? " Asking with flirtatious eyes, she felt safe around Rowan. She lowered her head and swished her mane out of her face.
Rowan cocked his brow once more at this revelation. So he was in the presense of a wild lovely gal, which only made his jitters of first love worse. He watched her, his cold eyes following her every graceful move. When she popped the last question out he took a deep breath. His facial features seemed to take a deep thought look. "I am an outlaw for something I didn't do." he smirked and shook his head, "How's that sound for a story?" he laughed, his voice deep and masculine.
She paused at the outlaw part, She pressed her lips together and tilted her head, but quickly smiled again at the thought she felt safe. " Hmm... Well you do have that " outlaw " look " She said jokingly ", but really you seem to nice to be one. " Light didn't think he was such an outlaw, but she believed him. Her pearl eyes had a twinkle in them and she couldn't control her blushing.
Rowan couldn't help it, but a gentle smile flickered onto his face, but was quickly replaced by a smirk at her comment. He was about to say something to her... something he usually didn't talk about, but he suddenly went rigid, his head snapping into a high alert position. The friendliness that was just in his eyes seemed to drain out quickly and was replaced by a cold bitter look. He looked off in the direction where he had came from. Those two stallions had guess about where he went and they were now just beyond the bend.
He looked back to Light, his eyes taking a warm concerned look when he met her pearly eyes. "Light. I know we just met, but do you trust me?" he asked rather urgently.
" Yes of course, Why? " Her smile changed to a worried expression yet her eyes were still smiling at Rowan. She seen he felt alert and some what worried or scared. She slightly lowered her head waiting for his answer.
"See that thick patch of woods behind you?"he paused for a moment, glancing over his shoulder, "Hide in it. Don't make a sound.... and don't come out..... No matter what happens." his voice had a loving firmness to it, yet it was sided with an edgyness. His ears flicked back he could hear the stallions talking agravtingly to each other. His eyes stayed on Light though.
She nodded taking in his words, savoring the time before departure. Light over heard the loud conversation between the horses, but couldn't spot them out. Quickly trotting off, she stopped and turned around before going into the deep brush " Rowan...." She yelped out, but Rowan must of cut her off. Light's eyes started turning to a light pearl / olive green. Worried, Light didn't want to lose him.
Rowan watched her head over to the brush, but quickly found himself by her side once more. His cool blue eyes looked down into her beautiful face. Then he nudged her gently on her cheek before turning and returning to the middle of the clearing, standing tall, his poweful muscles tense like a spring trap waiting to snap shut. His eyes once more turned cold as he waited to see the two stallions come around the corner. Once they saw him the lead stallion grew rigid and savage like, while the other had a flash of worry cross his face. Rowan had had time to rest, they just trudged up one mile of river and were way out of shape compared to the large black stallion.
Hidden deep in the brush , Light tredged back and forth worried. She heard the two stallions get closer and closer, but she was to love strucked to think. The nudge made her feel sick and dizzy, but it made her want a long side Rowan. Peeking through bushes she seen Rowan get stiffer and stiffer. " Wow this has to be one perfectly crazy day... " Light muttered Smiling to herself.
Rowan braced himself as the angry bay stallion tore through the now shallow water and came charging up the bank. Rowan flicked one ear back to where Light was then tuned his attention to his challenger... all time persuer is more like it.
The rugged bay stormed straight into Rowan, who met his blow with steady strength. The battle went on for nearly an hour when Rowan threw his weight on the bay. The bay lost his footing and fell underneath Rowan. The ebony stallion reared, right at that moment lightening streaked across the sky. A dark storm had crept in the sky as the battle had been going on and now rain started to pelt down in a steady rhythm. Rowan landed mere inches away from the bays head, his ears pinned, icy eyes glaring down at his unwanted foe.
The bay sneered, "Go ahead and kill me like you did my brother!" Rowan eyed him, then.... he walked off. He knew Light was in the bushes, but he couldn't risk showing her. The other smaller stallion tried to hel the bay up, but was shoved off. The bay reared in rage and was about to charge Rowan again, but something astounding happened.... at that moment he was struck by lightening and fell to the ground as a lifeless fool. The smaller stallion, wide-eyed and scared out of his wits, high-tailed it out of there. Rowan looked back at the bay, shaking his head in disgust and pity for the fool. A heavy sigh emitted from his mouth and he looked up into the sky, the rain falling on his bloody pelt.
Light's eyes widened, and in a blink she was cantering over to Rowan. " Are.. Are you
