Chapter 1:
My name is Destined, I'm now the Colonel's horse, my sire's former master. I was born in the Lakota tribe to Little Creek's horse, Caspian, and one of his mares, Heart's Lover, Lover for short. I have two siblings, Ritual and Chance. I loved Chance to death, he was my favorite little brother, Ritual, she hated me for some reason, I was the perfect older sis to her and the best friend she could have at the tribe. I was their baby sitter, I would always make sure they were safe when war came, but one day, war came and I had the urge to go fight, so I left them to go fight, I had no clue what to do and got Captured as a result, I screamed and screamed till I saw Ritual and Chance on a hill. I called " Go get mom or dad to help me!" Ritual layed her ears back and shoved Chance down the hill, little Chance was too young to know I wasn't going to be coming back. Ever.
I was dragged to the Calvary and sent to a dude named Murphy. I hated him instantly, and refused to let him touch me, till he gave up. The Colonel came and looked my over. "Well, well, what do we have here? You have the same eye color of my old horse Caspian, and you look like our old brood mare Heart's Love. I bet you are their daughter, a little taller than your dad, maybe from a grandsire. I'll break you and teach the Lakota's that White men are better than being Savages." And after that, I was dragged to a corral and shoved into a small pen. Now just because I grew up around humans, didn't mean I was going to play with little white men, I went nuts.
They tried to get a saddle on me, they succeeded, I hated it, the bridle was the worst, it pulled at my lips painfully. They got everything on me. I snorted as some one got on my back, and I was released, I ran out and started bucking man after man off of my back, until I was down to one man, the Colonel, who didn't ride me, instead, tied me to a post and left there for a week. Without food and water. There many horses looked at me with intrest. The all heard I was Caspian and Lover's daughter, they all knew them.
One that caught my eye was a minamal paint stallion, he looked familar, and then it hit me, Cade, the son of Spirit and Rain, he was also the Colonel's horse, I was shocked, wondering why Spirit and Rain suddenly stopped bringing him to the tribe. Cade looked at me and lowered his head, looking at two other paint stallions. One a cremello splash stallion named Razorback, looked right at me and said " Your the new mare I take it?" I nodded and layed my ears back at the Colonel who was glaring at us. "You'll be stuck here like the rest of us, almost all of us are wild caught and broken." Razorback continued. I layed my ears back.
After all the horses, aside from me were led back to the stables for the night, I looked at Cade in the stables and he looked back and turned around and ignored me. I sighed, and looked up at the sky, still waiting for my parents to come rescue me. That night was the longest of my life.
Chapter 2:
After the seven days tied to the post, I was tacked up again and mounted by the Colonel. And I busted out. I didn't suceed in trowing this man off of my back and at one point I dropped to my knees, soon giving up, I didn't want to face the fact, that I was broken. The Colonel was giving a speech about how the Lakota treated their horses, making them hate everyone else but them. Lies. I lowered my head and flipping let the man lead me around. And then was shoved into the stables with the rest of the horses. I stayed away from all of them, for a good two or three months.
My alone time was probably the worst thing to happen, I didn't know that Eloy, Cade, and Razorback where holding a plain to both escaped and breed me, little did they know, I'm never going to have a foal, not in this place or with them. I hated them all now, they where the worst horses I ever met, they didn't even support me. I bit at them alot. Truth was, I didn't want to be near anyone, I just wanted to by by myself.
Shockingly once the others broke out, I was sound asleep and didn't even know they were busting out. Once I found out I was like, I hate you guys, Razorback was off to find his sister, Eloy who knows what he was planning to do, and Cade, I didn't even care about, he wasn't my friend anymore.
Chapter 3:
It was two years before I was acually used for something, I had all but given up hope of ever being free again, and the Colonel mounted me up and we and the army were off. We were going to attack my home, so, I started acting up, trying to throw the Colonel off my back, Chance and Ritual where grown up by now and I needed to get free and warn them, without getting shot down myself.
I almost had the Colonel off my back when I saw my dad, and he was staring at me in sadness and anger, he glared at me and looked away. "Dad, I..." I said but didn't finish. "You are no longer my daughter." Caspian said, and I whinnied to him, I truely was sorry. After than he turned and ran back tot he tribe. After that I really did buck the Colonel off and tried to kill him, after I got my tack off, I ran back to the tribe where Caspian cut my off everytime, driving me farther away.
"Go away and never come back." Caspian said, I layed my ears back and ran off, crying. I ended up being re-captued by the Lakota, and forced into the pen. Little Creek came and looked at me, I was standing safely in the middle so dad couldn't try to punish me, I truely was sorry. Little Chance at the time too was grown up, and was pulling a stallion behind him. This stallion was odd. He was white, with red markings on him and black too. He had his mane in his eyes, so I couldn't tell what color they were.
Chapter 4:
The white stallion was shoved into the pen with me and after the humans and Chance were gone, he looked at me, laying down in the middle staring at the ground, and walked up to me. His eyes were sea green. "Why are you laying on the ground and not fighting?" The stallion asked. "Because I just want to die." I said. The stallion looked at me funny and stood away from me. That night he jumped the fence and bolted back to were he belonged. I stayed in the pen, looking over the edge, debating if I should stay or become wild.
I looked back and forth between the village that was my home and the unknown. I sighed, and layed back down. Wondering how long it would take to starve myself to death. After that I fell asleep. I woke up to a shadow standing over me, more like, four shadows. My family. I stood up and looked at them, jumping back into the middle of the pen. Father was telling Chance and Ritual to stay away from me for good. I lowered my head, and a few tears escaped, I looked away, and took off running and jumped clear over the fence and bolted into the wild.
I heard yells and shouts after me, but I didn't care, if I couldn't have a loving family anymore, then be it, I would just run and hide. I heard shouts from Rio, Mom, Little Creek, and some hunters. I past the hunter's dragging in a wild paint mare, I didn't care. I ran.
Chapter 5:
I don't know how long I ran for, but soon I collasped on the ground.I joined a small herd, with a vicious lead mare, she knew the lead stallion was crushing on me and not her. So she got me kicked out of the herd, I lowered my head and went back to the tribe, it had been a year since I left, and I missed Chance dearly. So I walked into the tribe, and was gretted by silence. I hated it, and found Chance, all grown up! He treated me like a wild freak and left, me standing there, in shock. I turned and galloped away. I ran for hours, until I saw a grey paint stallion running next to me with a creepy smile on his face, and a snake hanging around his neck. And snakes all around me. It took me a while to figured out I was litterly being 'snaked' into the stallions herd. I later leared that the stallion's name was Viper. I learned to live with the snakes, and grew a little close to Viper, even crushed on him, but soon gave up hope as he was in love with a vicious mare, well she was vicious to me at least. I now find myself looking up at the sky at nights wishing father would forgive me, knowing it would never happen. I ended up growing distant from Viper and soon was the loner within the herd, till his lead mare found out about my past few years. She then became my friend.
