Two months before incident:

Twi walked into the small group of almost yearlings. She had just woken up. She and Cade met up with a few of their friends, they all started to play around, laughing. As they were in the middle of the game, Cade stopped and looked at his best friend, Black Night. They seemed to nod to each other, a silent chat going on between them, and they started at the half blind Twi, giggling, chasing her best friend Candy. Cade lowered his head, he knew he was changing, and he knew Twi had changes so much in the year he had taken her under his hoof, but she was different after a year, more social, and growing apart from him.

He sighed, walking away, going to his father Spirit, he looked up at him, he hated the fact that he was forcing him to be the next leader of the herd. But he was the other heir to the position. But no one knew about his secret, he really wasn’t as good as every one thought he was, he in fact was evil. He hid it well. He walked up to his dad and layed his ears back some, he had always done that.

As the days went by, Cade and Black Night grew more and more dark, Cade had picked up the nickname of Scourge, and Black Night, Killer, they had both killed a herd member in the night, no one knew who did it, it was Cade’s grandmother, Esperanza. Spirit was shocked, sad, mourning, and angry, he blamed his enemy, The Albino.

Cade smirked at his father, and looked at Black Night, he nodded, and they went to go pick on Twi. Twi was grazing by her mother, but a little ways away, Cade layed his ears back and smiled evilly. Black Night did too.

“Hey Twi! What are you doing you stupid ugly half blind brat?” Cade yelled out, catching his father and mother’s attention. Twi looked at him and layed her ears back, why was her best friend, and crush doing this to her?

Spirit caught wind of this and ran to put a stop to it. Black Night tripped to big buckskin stallion. Cade did the rest, to his herd's horror. Rain his mother tried to stop her son's attack.

Cade shoved his mom away from him, still attacking his weak sire. Smiling evilly as he saw the light leave his sire's eyes.

Rain cried and stood over Spirit's body; she looked at her son and shouted "How could you do this to me? To your father? You grandmother?! How?"

"Because, I'm not like you, I hate this herd, everyone in it, and most of all the ugly, dumb brat Twi!"Cade shouted back.

Rain had had it; she rounded up the herd and led them to the Lakota village to live. It would be many days till they got there.

After a few days, Cade started stealing mares from other herds. Soon his herd grew to be the size it used to be, and he mated with all the females. Laughing evilly.

Month of incident: Twi

Twi stood tall, she would not let the humans tame her, the saddle the white man had put on her back was ticking her off, when they pulled her ears to force a metal bit in her mouth, she bit their fingers, snapped at them and all, but they got the bridle on her.

As one man got on her, the gate opened, and she was a bucking madhouse. Throwing man after man from her back, soon killing a man, after giving him in the head when he didn't get out of the corral fast enough.

"Send her to the railroad; they can work her till she drops dead." The Colonel shouted, glared at the wild mare, who he swore was the daughter of Spirit, he couldn't have been more off, she was of no relation to the buckskin stallion.

As Twi was dragged to the rail road, Indians attacked. Taking Twi with them, where they put her in a corral with a black stallion with a white blaze that claimed to be her father, Starfire. Twi still wouldn’t tame easily, so Little Creek tied pink and purple braids in her long mane.

Twi never did stop trying to pull them out, not succeeding. After a few days the Calvary attacked. They were going to get Twi back.  She was going to be their source of money. She was soon rounded up and dragged to the railroad.

Twi fought the whole way, not backing down one bit. She soon grew tired after a few hours of fighting, and was loaded on a train car with a black stallion with blue eyes, a dark grey stallion with red scars and eyes, and a silver grullo stallion. She stayed in her own little corner as the stallions mumbled among themselves.

She did catch the name of the black stallion, and she turned her head, a tear falling from her eye, it was Cade, her very old friend, and crush, and now enemy. She looked at the ground, her braids falling with her mane.

Once there, the black stallion was led out first, he said something to all of them, not knowing who Twi was. Twi snorted and reared up a bit when she was tied up and lead to a post, and being tied next to Cade, she hated it, hated Cade, the humans and the fact that she was stuck to do man’s bidding.

The next day was the day every horse was put in a harness, and forced to pull the train behind them. Twi and Cade where put next to each other, Twi was ticked; she hated this and wanted out.

The great Escape: Cade

Cade looked around, he snorted at a man coming near him and the mare next to him with a whip. He could tell that the mare was mad, and somewhat scared. He wanted to get every mare out and take them to his herd.

Cade looked around, using the knowledge he had learned from his sire, he made a plan. The plan was for him to play dead, which he just dropped. Fallen looked at him, then at the mare next to Cade. Twi looked at the palomino stallion behind her, he did look familar, but she couldn't rememer why.

The humans ran up to Cade, and dragged him away, then he kicked off the chain he had around his feet. He hurried up and kicked the things holding the horses to the train. Cade whinnied to all the mares to go to his herd, all but one did, it was Twi.
