Part 1

   Sol and Coocky stood alone on the hill that over looked the herd.They watched Comet and Ace there foals play and jump around.Sol smiled"I'm going away tomorrow"she said."What"said Coocky looking worried."I'm going to visit Spirit and Mason"said Sol nuzzling Coocky."Oh"said Coocky."You're watching the boys"said Sol.Coocky got wide eyed"Alone"said Coocky."You can do it Coocky"said Sol.

   "Come on Ace"said Comet pushing his brother towards a filly."No Comet girls don't like me"said Ace trying to scramble away."Well than...get your tail over there"said Comet.Comet pushed Ace foward which made him hit the filly by accident.The filly looked up"Sorry my brother pushed me"said Ace.Ace tried to back up,but Comet was in his way."So you're the leader's son"asked the filly."Yes...Yes I...am"said Ace trying to push his words out.

  Than Comet jumped onto his brother sending him into a mud puddle.Comet sat on Ace's head as poor Ace tried to escape.The filly laughed and than Comet starting to flirt with her.Ace glared at his brother and than finally stood up rushing up the hill to his parents.

  Followed by Comet who tackled Ace,but Ace got up and tackled Comet it was a cycle until they reached their parents.Than the two colts starting talking at the same time."Guys settle down"said Coocky giving his sons a stern look."Ok Ace go on and tell your story"said Coocky."Well Comet embarassed me in front of my new friend,and than he pushed me down."said Ace.Comet glared at his brother.

  "Comet your turn"said Coocky."Well the filly was more than Ace's friend and he was to slow and stupid"said Comet smiling."Ummmmm"said Coocky,but than Ace began to laugh and he jumped on his brother and they rolled down the hill.

  "Those boys they're like pregnant mares one moment there all happy and the next angry and the next sad and than happy again"said Coocky.Sol gave him a stern look than said"I'm going to put the boys to bed."Coocky smiled at his mare as she walked towards her sons that were  on top of each other.

  Sol put the foals to bed and than she went to sleep.Coocky walked down to check on the boys,and he found them biting each other."Ace,Comet you need to go to sleep"said Coocky."We want to be like you Dad"said Ace standing up to nuzzled his dad."Yeah"said Comet following his brother.

  "Guys when you're leadstallion of your own herds you can stay up all night and guard all you want,but now you have to be smart and sleep for when you're older"said Coocky.So both Ace and Comet lied down and eventually fell asleep.

Part 2:Sol Leaves

  Coocky frowned,but when Sol turned around he faked a smiled."Bye Coocky I'll miss you"said Sol."I'll miss you too"said Coocky nuzzling his mate."I'll be back in a couple days"said Sol galloping off."Days!?"said Coocky,but Sol was already to far away to her him.

  A couple hours later after the sun had come up Comet and Ace woke up and ran to their father."Dad look at our flirty stallion trick"said Comet."Oh no"thought Coocky smiling at his sons.Than they started strutting around with their heads and tails high."We call it pretty stallion swagger"said Ace smiling."Wonderful"said Coocky sarcasticly.

  "Come on Ace I'll try to get that filly back for you"said Comet trotting down the hill where his father stood."Ok"said Ace racing after his brother."I wonder why Sol so urgently needed to see her family"thought Coocky watching his foals.

  Comet smiled at his brother who smiled at the filly"Well hi do you want to play"said Ace feeling some confidence as he stood tall."Sure"said the filly so they ran around together while Comet went to flirt.

  "Nice mane"said Comet to a yearling filly."Thanks"said the yearling,but than a yearling colt trotted up and snorted at Comet."Oh you wanna go"snorted Comet,but the yearling colt just kicked and Comet fell right to the ground.Comet frowned in frustration as his filly walked away with that colt..Than a filly came behind Comet she was a little younger than him.

   "Need help"she asked,and Comet stood up quickly"Nah"he said smiling at her."Your brave for standing up to him"said the filly."Oh it was nothing"said Comet blushing."Wanna Play"she asked,and Comet replied"Of course."

  The colts played with their fillies all day long,but night came."Where's mom"asked Ace."She went on a trip she'll be back in a couple days"said Coocky.Ace and Comet looked at each other"We can't sleep without mommy"cried Ace.Comet frowned up at his dad also."I'll be right beside you,you can sleep with me on hill"said Coocky trying to cheer up his colts.

  "I guess"both colt's said,and they layed down curling up beside each other.They soon fell asleep,and as Coocky watched them sleep he saw there backs raise up and down in slow rythmic breathes,and Coocky to fell asleep beside his foals.

Part 3:Coocky's mistake

  "Yawn"yawned Coocky,"Alright boys...."said Coocky opening his eyes."Boys!"he called.Ace and Comet were gone and Coocky couldn't see them anywhere in the herd,but he went to investigate.

 "Mom can't be that far"said Comet running a little bit behind his brother."Do you think Dad will be mad"said Ace looking back at his brother."I didn't think about that"said Comet suddenly looking freightened."Mom,Mom..M"said Ace,but he stopped since he saw a frog."What's that"asked Ace.The colts had never seen a frog before."I don't know"said Comet stopping in his tracks."Stay still and calm it can probably smell fear"said Ace looking at the frog.

  Than Comet galloped off leaving Ace there.Ribbet the frog sounded and than Ace screamed and followed his brother."How are we gonna sleep tonight"cried Ace."We'll find mom"said Comet.

  Than the sun went down and both terrified and cold foals curled up with each other and fell they still couldn't sleep.

Morning

  Ace opened his eyes to something green"grass"he thought.Than he fully opened his eyes "ribbet.""Ahhhhhhhhhhhh it followed us"cried Ace waking Comet up,and both foals galloped away.

  "Man did you here that"said Sol looking up from grazing."No"said Spirit nuzzling his daughter."It sounded like Comet and Ace"said Sol."Sol darling there at The West Herd at home with their dad they'll be fine.said Spirit."I've got to go Dad I have to break the news to Coocky"said Sol starting to trot off."About what"Mason asked.

  Spirit smiled at Mason and than whispered what it was in his ear."Sol in that case be careful"said Mason calling to his dissapearing sister.

Part 4

  Sol galloped as fast as she could she didn't slow down.She needed to get home and see her family as fast as she could.Night fall was only a couple hours away she needed to be faster,but she was to tired.So she slowed down to a slow-gait gallop.

  "Man I think that creature is still following us"said Ace getting closer to his brother."Ace we need to find mom and get home"said Comet,but what they didn't know was there mother wasn't even 50 yards away from them running home."I sence another horse"said Comet peaking his head out of the brush,but his mother was long gone now.

  "Well I guess it was nothing"said Comet pulling his head back through the brush.It got dark quickly and the foals just walked through the night they couldn't sleep even if they tried.

 At about this time at night Sol arrived home."Coocky,Coocky"she called.Coocky who was on the hill turned around and he looked scared and nervous."Wheres Ace and Comet"asked Sol.Sol looked around and than back at nervous Coocky."They're gone"said Coocky."You lost them!!!"yelled Sol."No Sol I wouldn't say lost,but mis placed "said Coocky smiling in an akward way.

 "You can't mis place colts"said Sol looking at her mate."I'm sorry Sol"Coocky said.Sol nuzzled her mate."Let's go find them"said Sol walking off.Coocky followed her and the two horses went searching for their sons.

Part 5

  It was now early morning and Comet and Ace were going to look for something to drink.They found a small stream and began to sip it up,but two amber eyes watched them from behind a bush.Ace being the less brave one of his family looked up and said"Comet I feel weird like something is watching us."Comet looked at his brother."Ace your just paranoid and your the one who forced us on this journey"said Comet.

  "No Comet I didn't force you to go I needed to find mommy I missed her"said Ace."I missed mom too"said Comet glaring at his brother."I'm sorry Comet I just really missed her"said Ace frowning."Now I miss mommy more"said Ace as tears swelled up in his eyes.

  Comet nuzzled his brother"I know I miss mommy and daddy
