Spirit Horses to Humans
For a while now I've had the idea of drawing some of the horses from Spirit as humans.
The first one is Granite. I know, he doesn't look that great. I gave him brown skin and dark brown hair, to mimic his body colours as a horse, and I dressed him in cavalry clothes.
The woman is Rain. Since she's a Lakota, I dressed her in a stylized Native American outfit. Again, she has red skin and pale blonde hair like her horse form. It felt weird and unrealistic to give her large white patches on her skin, so I just left her with one skin tone
And probably my favourite of the 3: Spirit. He's got tanned skin and black/brown hair. I couldn't figure out what to dres shim in, though, since he's a wild horse. Eventually I went for a mix between Little Creek and Tarzan for his outfit.
I'd like to do Esperanza, and maybe some of the others, but, like Spirit, I haven't got a clue what to dress them in. If they were domestic horses I'd clothe them in traditional settler outfits, but since they're wild that just feels wrong...
