I was practicing my horse-drawing skillz (lol) when I decided to draft a comic. I actually thought about releasing the Spuro stories as a comic series on the site, but I decided it would just be a lot easier to write it out. Besides, doing it on paper would get me through ten packets of pencils - I'm waiting to get Photoshop CS3 for Christmas...
Plot: First person (I scratched this later on), Spuro is wandering through a gully in the planes and he isn't paying attention to his surroundings, so James (white mane) and Nickle (black mane) can watch him closely. They discuss the intruder before going off to report him, and what they say gives the reader a little info on the Band and how it's systems work.
This is the first time I had come up with the concept of the Band, and I imagined James having a more formal version of Bigwig's voice from the Watership Down TV series, and Nickle having a Scottish accent, but I wouldn't be able to explain it, so sadly, he's gonna have a native one. But I sorta get the image of Billy Conolly voicing him, lol.
See if you can spot this scene in Spuro Part 1: The Trials. I'll make a few more later on - neater versions of the final thing though. :)
