I really love this picture of Rain. It's not too complicated, but it
definitely includes all the parts of the horse in realistic, perfect
proportion. Here eyes are cute, and I love the way you colored
her--and her nose! And the feather! It's just a really cute, perfect
pic! It's an inspiration. I can't draw, and I've had no practice, but maybe someday I could draw horses like you can. It takes hard work and talent to draw horses, and even more to be able to draw them in various positions and life-stages, all from memory. And even MORE of that is needed to add your personal touch, which you seem to do very well. Sometimes I think characters are harder to draw than realistic people and animals, because they're stylized. |
i must say, I've been drawing horses ever since I could hold a pencil, so I've had about 20 years of experience, but I have also found tutorials and other peoples' work to be inspirational and helpful. All I can really say is; practice whenever you can ^^ It helps to love what you're drawing, too ^^
I many ways I wish my art was more like the official Spirit style artwork, but I also appreciate the fact that my artwork is unique to my style. Thank you for your kind comments ^^
