To be honest, I traced with my greatest ability while my older cousin who's more skilled and has excellent talent with the computer and scanner brought it to life. I love her.

You should try to do some free-hand art. This is great and all, but anyone can trace, and you'll never truly grow as an artist unless you try to draw things on your own. That being said, your cousin has some great skills, and I'd love to see those applied to her own art as well. You guys work great as a team, though, and I'd love to see your cousin color something of yours that you drew by yourself (without tracing)
