umm i dont mean to sound helpless but i go onto the links but i dont now how to make my own design do i need a certain download or somthing?

Ok i will try and explain it for you ^^

There is no proper way to create characters, you just have to find out what works for you, but here is how to get started ^^

1. To start with i would suggest using free bases to make your characters. You can find these on deviantart or sometimes even on this site. (I have puts some links down the bottem for you)

2. Once you have chosen a base, copy and paste it into Paint (it comes already installed on your computer). Im sure you know how to use paint ^^ so just start drawing markings and stuff on your base, and colour it in.

3. Once you have coloured your horse in, and saved it to your computer you can go to 'create new character' on the characters page on spirit source, fill out the info and create your character ^^

Some rules:

Its best NOT to make sparkle characters (they are unrelistic horses/colours. eg. a pink and purple striped horse is a sparkle character)

Try not to make your horses bio to short.

DO NOT STEAL! If you see a character you like, do not steal the design. Try and be creative and come up with your own ideas.
Also dont steal bases, most bases on deviant art are free, but here on ss most of them you have to ask to use. (Dont claim them as your own.)

Always credit the maker of the base. When you find a base, make sure you look up who made it ^^

what i meant to say is i want to make a new character for a contest but i dont now how to render them to make my own new horse like other people have. and sorry for the non proper english.
