I searched the Questions list because I thought someone asked this already, but I couldn't seem to find it, so I shall ask (if it's there and I missed it, I apologize).

 

I know when it comes to fanart, there's a strict No Violence and No Sex rule.

Totally respect that!

 

However, what's the policy on fanart depicting birth?

Birth is often bloody, graphic and we all know where the baby comes out of.

 

It is also a wonderful, beauitful process that dawns the era of new life, despite the blood and other fluids that are released from the mother.

 

Many young children (especially nowadays) are exposed to the birthing process of a horse, dog, cat, hamster or other creatures, so it's really not as though birth should be shielded from the eyes of kids (ESPECIALLY with how violent videogames are).

I'm currently working on a fanart depicting the birth Spirit. So, I ask...will I be able to post it??

 

Are images/fanart of a character being born allowed or not?

Will it be condradicting the no violence/sex rule, or is birth the exception to the rule?

It's hard to say. I guess if it's not too graphic, like how the movie does it, it would be fine.

Birth scenes should be allowed in my opinion. Shielding the little kids on this site from overly-graphic gore is one thing, but trying to shield them from birth is just...wrong. I worked really hard on this particular drawing in question, and I'd hate to have it turned down because a mod thinks it's too graphic (and that could go either way; some mods love me, other mods freakin' hate me). I'll even add a warning in the title if I need to.

Well I would say they should allow it, because there are bloody scenes and fighting ( which I think it would fit in violence rule, right? ) scenes in images already. You could try! Lol
