Take a look at this image of a Minecraft horse (yes, I'm aware it's kinda fuzzy and yes I play Minecraft, username is ZarathaxTarenity in case your curious)

Does anyone know what kind of breed this would be? I'm asking because I'm a making a character based off of a horse with the same design I had and really liked

I'd say it's a Mustang mixed with something else, so what would the other breed be?

It's really up to you what breed it is. I'd recommend researching breeds that would have been around in the late 19th century, particularly breeds that were available in North America at the time. The US cavalry favored Morgans, cowboys and wranglers favored Quarter Horses (although they weren't known by this name at the time) and many other breeds such as Thoroughbred, Arabian and Barb horses were all imported with the European colonialists.

In that case just choose one of your researched breeds, based on the backstory you want for your character.
