Bluster
Ok, I know this is a pointless question, but I have noted the movie takes place around 1-2 years, and the foals at the begining where... well.. foals, and at the end, they didnt move in size. How is this possible?

Indeed. The movie had to have taken at least a year, since the seasons change and since it would take that long for Spirit's mane to grow out again after being cut so short. But the twin foals look nothing like yearlings when he returns to the herd.
My theory is that, despite doing a LOT of research into horses and their behaviour for the film, Dreamworks decided to keep the twins as foals when Spirit returned so as not to confuse the audience. Of course, it DOES confuse people who know about horses, but consider this; the movie is aimed at younger veiwers, perhaps from the age of 8 upwards. Most children would not understand that foals grow quicker than human kids, so they might be confused and even upset if they don't see the twins at the end of the movie, and only see 2 yearlings. They might conclude that the foals died, or were forgotten. And if they saw yearlings they might assume they were teenagers, and that Spirit had been away from the herd for many years. Of course, many adults are not familiar with horses either, and might themselves be confused by it.
Either that, or the Cimarron Herd is caught in a time bubble and no one inside the bubble ages ^^
