Somewhere in the western United States roughly around Utah or Wyoming.

The time is after the Civil war during the "Indian Wars" of the late 1860s-1870s

I'm guessing the 1860s because the Transcontinental Railroad was still in construction and not finished yet. (Remember the locomotive scene in the movie? That's what they were working on before Spirit had to go wreck everything)


The Colonel was based off of Colonel Custer (who was based in North Dakota not Utah >:C which is also why I know so much about him (visited his fort/house)), was famous during that time period.

sirrea i think its 1868-1669 from what i read the railway was finished 1869 and the lakota attacked between 1868 - 1877
