I have been working with gimp for ages yet I can't do smooth lines without missing pixels and its to much bother to fill them in. Please help....
Serpentine
you get pixel lines by using the pen tool and Smooth lines by using the brush tool, sorry to say there is no quick or unbothersome way to color in smoothline outline, you generally have to take the time to color them in manually inset of using the fill tool.
are you coloring the lines in manually in a separate layer? because that helps.
you could use the fill tool on another layer and the cut the outer pace color out, but then you'd have to go around and erase the pixel left over color.

Like Serpentine said, You get pixel lines using the Pencil tool, but
it's easier to colour. You can get smooth lines using the Brush tool,
but it's harder to colour. I'de say use the Pencil tool, colour it in,
and save the image as PNG. That way the lines blur a bit and look a
little smoother. ![]() |
