Alright. Here I go! Firstly, open up whatever image you want to crop, as well as the background that you want to use. For now however, just stay focused on the horse image. Go to, 'Layer', and then, 'Transparancy'. Select, 'Add Alpha Channel'. It will appear that nothing has happened, but don't worry, something has. Next, select the Eraser tool. Use it on the image, and you'll see lots of grey squares where you have erased. Be careful to avoid the horse though! Using this, continue this veeerrrrry long process until you have just the horse or part of the image that you want, and the rest is a grid of grey squares. Copy the image and past onto your background. If you have followed the steps and done it correctly, you should have just the horse on your background ^^ Lastly, select the Move Tool. Double click anywhere on the new image to anchor the horse image onto the background, and there you have it! I hope this helps! ~Mystic Mayhem~ |

I do know how to do this, but it's best if you come on my JoinMe for
me to show you. It will be easier to explain ^^ Also, bring a lot of
patience, to do this on Gimp it takes a while ![]() For the sake of anyone else that needs info like this, I'll type it up best as I can ^^ |

Pretty much what Indicate said. I personally do those steps in reverse
where I'll crop out the character with the Magnetic Lasso Tool in
photoshop and then drag it to my background/graphic/whatever. |

if you use a programme like photoshop, you can take a lineart or
picture of a horse, get two of the pictures you want up, one o the
horse and one of the background, use the selection tool to move it to
the background and use the magic wand tool to erase the background. Hope this helps! ~indicate2012 |
