anyone know whats with the  banner on the character page and why its in french (and it looks a little out of place)

Something that the French side is doing that carried over to the English side. I personally dislike it, it's too big and bulky. Not to mention unnecessary as well. At least I think so. It just takes longer for the page to load. If it was smaller it wouldn't be so bad.

But I believe this is just an error in the site code that caused the banner to appear on the English side.

The transparent background and size of the character pages banner isn't really working for the site's layout in my opinion, it's ok it's just not as high quality as the other site graphics featured in the layout, and looks rushed. however i feel the same about the ones appearing on the other sources as well.

why do we need one that big wouldnt a smaller one do the job alot better and faster

Though we DO need one. Maybe whoever made the banner will be translating it for the english side as well.
