I use MS Windows 7 Paint and Gimp plus photoscape if you look at my
images you can see if those would be best fit for you by the style
but photoscape is just an addition for deepening or other effects on
there however MS windows 7 paint makes it easy to outline and color,
Gimp also makes it easy to color but its also good for extra coloring
additional shading and turning fall into spring on the bckgrounds XD i
have tutorials on how to use gimp if you decide ot use it just let me
know and ill send you the link to my site for the videos ![]() |

GIMP is the best (if by the best you mean closest to Photoshop) if you
don't want to (or don't have the funds like me) to pay for Photoshop
or Sai (a program exclusively for artists while Photoshop and GIMP
were made to be photo editing software) However, I've seen wonderful images made in MS paint that looked like they could blend into the background, it depends on how much knowledge and how comfortable you are with using the program. |

GIMP is like a free/simplified Photoshop. From my brief experience
with it, it IS reliable. If you're familiar with layers and such, you
should have no problems adjusting. |
But any program can make good images as long as the user practices at it. You should see some of the Pixel art (via MS paint) out there that looks very very detailed.
