I don't care if people change my Strider's history to meet their characters' means. I put a notice on his profile giving permission for anyone to use him as they want. (For example having him meet Esperanza in a different way than the book or being around when Spirit was born)

Wouldn't it just make sense to take a vote? Or at least try to make him an official character, by all means? It seems impossible though at the thought of it...

well i haven't PMed them yet because tecically there is not rule agenst this, and it's aloud on one site and not aloud on another so it causes alot of confusion as to what should and should be done about it. I know of one mod who admitted to me that their lazyXD but aside from them i don't find the mods lazy but bussy or less involved witht eh site as they used to be, so i don't blame the mods so much as i blame the rules set up of all the sites, they don't connect with eachother and are different which causing confusion, but still larkspur make a point Strider was emtnion by psirit int he movie, alrough he wasn't credited at the end and was never seen physically in the movie, and i know everyone loves strider, but you wouldn't clone your pet so don't clone him. XD cloning is illegal in real life and he the rules state that you should follow real life set rules as well, things that apply in the real world well just think of it as cloning a real horse, XD

i was actually wondering about this too... i honestly think that they should make him an official character. although he isn't named in the movie, Spirit still does mention him as being "the leader of the Cimmarron herd before him". but i'm not a character mod either... have you pmed them about it yet?

I think the mods are getting VERY lazy on this site. They wont even update the questions page. It's getting flooded with answered questions.

Well people on balto Source do this all the time with characters. They take an official character and give it their own history and stuff. And it doesn't seem to be against the rules there.

Sierra's Strider was made first, if I think right. Perhaps it's fair if the others were reported as duplicate characters? Though it wouldn't be really fair to the creator (they might be upset), it makes sense that they should use Sierra's Strider and shape his history and personality as of their own terms, to avoid creating duplicate characters.
