Um, well I'd like to tell you that bringing this topic up for your character, which is a giveaway by the title 'my char'.
First Must-See bios are selected based on how creative they have presented their character. Next it's followed by how good the design is, whether it's a rare and unique design or a very well done basic design. Also the history is taken into affect, to see how/and where and how well the character is related to the Spirit Fandom. After all is thought through they are selected, and are like a guideline for members alike to see how to better their bio's or add in something that they missed, following the rules and exemplary bios. I myself, like to go through the very end of the pages and start looking over bios so it doesn't matter how old a character might be, the chances of it ever getting picked are half and half, if all the right components are within the bio and good amount of work is put into the images/drawings of it.
