okay hey all this is my first Herd project, ive entered herds before so now i want to make my own, My stallion Antique who is my first Grey Dapple,(who i adore) wants to make his own herd since he has left the Cimmeron Herd. He had decided to call the herd Edele Valk which means "Noble Falcon" In Dutch. Antique promises to treat all his mares as equal and to never ever let anything happen to them.
Threats- Since they live in the wide open, there are many threats. Cougars will often try and come after the young foals and the mares. There is always a threat of man, but thats what the forest is for.
Territory-The Edele Valk Herd live in a grassy meadow with a forest and a riverbank and a plain but the only cover they have is the woody area next to the meadow. The North end is as far as his herd may go, no one is allowed to cross the river wthout permission from the lead stallion or lead Mare. The river goes through the whole area, and it ends at the plains where the foals like to play.

The Grassy meadow where the mares graze

The grassy Plains where the foals like to play and where Antique can watch them

The green forest where the mares tend to stay during hot nights. That is part of the river no one can cross without permission from Antique or his mate

Name: Sorrel
Age: 8
Breed: Mustang
Gender: stallion
Persoanlity: Sorrel is an honourable, dependable stallion. Mature and trustworthy, he’s also incredibly tenacious and will stop at nothing to fulfil his responsibilities. He hasn’t had much time to gather mares for himself yet, since he’s been so caught up in his latest mission, but now that’s over he’s starting to think about joining a herd or starting a family of his own.
How he or she met the herd: Sorrel met Antique a year after leaving the Cimarron Herd. In that time he'd tried to start his own herd, but realised that he wasn't up to being a Lead stallion. Instead, he joined Antique and became a guard
History: Sorrel was born in the Cimarron Herd, and, although he wasn't his son, Sorrel grew up happily with Strider’s own foals. When he was 2, Strider mysteriously disappeared. Determined to help his family, the chestnut male set off to search for their lost leader, vowing to return only when he’d found Strider or learnt the truth about what happened to him.
The years past, and still Sorrel hadn’t found Strider. Suddenly the sound of a bugle reached his ears! Sorrel recognised one of the horses. There was no mistake about it; that was Strider. He’d been caught and tamed, and was now an army horse. Sorrel was deeply saddened to see his adoptive father reduced to a lowly cavalry mount, but he had no way of helping Strider. His mission over, the chestnut returned to the Cimarron Herd and explained what he’d seen. They were equally saddened by the news, but even more worried about Spirit, Esperanza’s son, who’d been captured by cowboys. Sorrel agreed to stay with the herd until Spirit managed to get free and return to them, as his mother firmly believed he would. But the chestnut had no desire to take over the Cimarron Herd himself, and he left shortly after Spirit returned with a pinto mare.
