Hello everyone! ;3 It's Animal back with the continuation of my fanfic series Poena & Tripudium released last summer. Haven't read it? Click here. I've already typed up most of part 2, but I have some holes to fill in the fanfic series as it goes along and there might be some sub-contests for particular parts of the series.

For the moment I just need some background characters...

Positions Needed:

- Mares, Stallions, Yearlings, and Foals  (The trek that kills off the old, weak, and really young horses because of conditions. Some can still survive at those ages, but basically I need some random horses to be part of the large group. Only a handful will actually survive.)

     * This is for the long trek through harsh conditions between the nearest train station and the fort. Fidelin himself travels on the train after he is sold to the calvary and is herded by a group of soldiers and the apparent 'leader' stallion Dominon. They are all treated averagely as they travel to the fort.

- Horses (of all ages) at the calvary fort. I really Need unique characters and stories. The more unique, the more likely to be chosen.

For the moment I don't have any specific positions needed... I will post if I have any specific spots needed. Basically I'm just looking for background characters for now.

Characters Already/Will Be Included:

- Fidelin

    * As the main character the series is written from Fidelin's point of view. His life is full of ups and downs begginning with a letter written to his owner's wife...

- Old Ben

    * An old gelding who is reunited with one of his fillies on the journey to the fort. Old Ben has a yearling that he took under his wing on his farm back home who stays by his side during the journey. He bonds with his daughter Asmira on the trip and leaves Sterling and Asmira in Fidelin's care when the conditions and Dominon finally take their tole.

- Sterling

    * Sterling was taken under Old Ben's wing from the start. He learned from Ben and stays by his side at all times. He later becomes one of Fidelin's companions and looks up to Fidelin like a father. He also becomes friends Asmira and helps to comfort her at the death of her father.

- Asmira

    * One of the many foals of Old Ben, Asmira is reunited with her father on the journey only to lose him. She is grateful for her caretaker Fidelin and gradually becomes friends with Sterling.

- Dominon

    * A ruthless stallion who's basically the leader horse. He makes all of the horses submit to him and immediatly becomes rivals with Fidelin as Fidelin refuses to submit to this rougue stallion.

- Sandy  (Currently undergoing realistic designs...)

Din- Don't worry. Ace and Captain will be Fidelin's main friends in the series. They'll just come in at part three. ;3 Sierra- I really like how unique Mik's story is! Mik is officially accepted as a background character. ;3 Lexceybug- That isn't a full entry. (Rule #3 above ^) Sorry, but Shakira won't be used. Please don't send in more unfinished entries...

Name: Mik (pronnounced Mick) Gender: Stallion Age: 4-6 years Parents: Old Marlena (Silver Grullo) and Nikki-Boy (Buckskin) Breed: Quarter Horse Eyes: Hazel (blue and brown) Color: Silver Dunskin Markings: Four Stockings, Full Blaze, Dorsal Stripe, and Shoulder Bar. Personality: Very quiet and anxious, he often spends time by himself. He only speaks once he has something important to say. He's very attentive and has very sharp hearing. Bio: He was born on a ranch that was made specifically to breed quarter horses, his parents were carefully chosen for breeding by the humans and they weren't in love. His mother beleived foals should be seen and not heard and his father wanted nothing to do with him (being a stud horse) so, he spent the majority of his childhood being ignored while his parents socialised with other horses. His many half-siblings ignored him too since he was just "another one of Marlena's foals." or "another son of Nikki." Mik spend his foalhood feeling lonley, watching other horses and humans on his ranch. He learned a lot from them, like when a horse was going to be sold, or which sets of broodmares and studs were going to be paired together. One day, he learned that his mother was going to be sold as soon as he became a yearling and no longer needed her. He was very upset and tried to tell his mother but she told him to be quiet and leave her alone. As the weeks went by Mik had his first birthday and his mother was sold to another ranch. The yearling was easily trained for riding because he was happy when the humans took notice of him. He became a favorite mount of the Head of the Ranch, who planned on keeping him as a stud horse in stead of selling him. Mik was upset at this notion, since he would never have the oppertunity to find love, but he didn't want to be sold. His father, Nikki-Boy however started to worry he might be sold and Mik would replace him. So one day while The Head of the Ranch was riding Mik, Nikki jumped the fence of his pasture and attacked Mik, kicking off the rider from his back, knocking the human unconsious. Mik tried to protect himself and his rider, but Nikki was older and stronger than him. In the scuffle, Mik fell on top of the comatose man, crushing and killing him. The humans knew that it was an accident, and had Nikki-Boy sold to the slaughter house in stead of Mik. But the young horse never forgave himself. The new Head of the ranch had a hard time taking over from the previous one, and the Ranch fell into debt to to poor handling of finances. The Calvary offered to get the Ranch back on it's feet by buying the best horses. They chose Mik, along with some others to be sold. How do you want them to come in?: Mik would be on the train with Fidelin, and walk with the group on the way to the fort.
