Hello Spirit source.
You may or may not have seen, but we have a new tag for characters.
“Realistic or unrealistic/sparkle.”
Unrealistic characters are allowed. This tag is simply to make it easier for people who only want to see realistic characters.
What determines realistic or unrealistic?
If you can’t find a photo that match or are like the markings you give your character, then tag it as unrealistic.
I made this to help explain using a bay:
(thanks to wingsoffaith for making the rendered horses).
(note:this is for bay only,chesnuts with dark brown or redbrown manes would be realistic)
The first two are a normal bay and a wild bay, the 3rd isn’t any coat, and the fourth is a wild bay with sock.
Please post if you see any glitches.

dani that is a chesnut, the image is of bays , if the mane is black
(or 'artist black' as like the image) then its unrealisitc but if its
dark brown it is fine |

Dani - the mane's darker, yes, but it isn't black, so it doesn't work.

Vallie > did you even read it? Sparkles are NOT allowed. However, some
a bit unrealistic designs are (for example Scar from TLK is
unrealistic because lions aren't that dark and don't have green eyes,
but he is canon character and fan characters similar to him are
allowed). Also, "sparkle/unrealistic" tag is nothing new. It was made
while sparkledogs were allowed for a short time and it was here for
years. |

lady - i know it was for BS but we just got it and so did lion king
source and i am sure others this is for SS. vallie - you are welcome to post a photo of your horse but i did look and there is none,all i found where chesnuts with dark brown manes and tails. |

Really? -__- If you add that tag people are going to start making
sparkle horses, and Blaze the 'unrealistic' horse is realistic. I used
to have a horse like that.  |

This is just another reason to research your character designs, and so
try to keep them as realistic as possible. Though, I have to clarify, the tag option on the character pages is not new, it's been there for years. Just FYI. I'm still not happy about unrealistic characters being allowed, but at least this will help clarify the two. Thanks, Blazetail! |
