Personality
Personality: A happy-go-lucky filly, Rhineland is bold and kind. She loves helping others and can’t stand seeing others in pain. She’ll do anything for others, and has mastered the art of self-sacrifice. She would love to have her own herd some day, but for the time being, she’s perfectly happy as a foal of her father’s herd. Rhineland hates the nickname “Land,” and usually this isn’t what people call her unless meaning to demean her – due to her adventurous spirit, she wanders often and at one point came across a person taking care of rabbits in a barn – rabbits with markings just like hers. She soon decided these rabbits were from the land she was named after: The Rhineland. So, after that day, she took great pride in her name, and Rhineland worked to live up to it. She’s a very outgoing filly as well, and loves making friends.
Temperament: warm-blooded
Likes: Learning about humans, wandering around, visiting nearby herds
Dislikes: Being endangered, being called “Land”
Hates: Unknown
Fears: She hasn’t really feared anything from her homeland, being in Hotspur’s herd, but she can’t stand ghost stories. They scare her, but it wears off after a day or two.
History
There’s not much to be said about Rhineland’s history – she was born as the daughter of Hotspur. She had a normal early foalhood with her mother, until one day she found the entrance to the valley. She wandered out and soon got herself lost.
The first thing she found was Spirit’s herd. She stayed there for awhile, asking them if they knew the way to the Spring Valley Herd. They didn’t. So Rhineland went on, of course, in the wrong way. She later found her way to a ranch, where she wandered for a few days. On the first, she went straight into a barn because it had begun to storm. She walked in and saw rabbits – the walls were lined with cages, each one with rabbits of different shapes, sizes, and colors. Most of the cages were filled with large rabbits with markings just like Rhineland’s. In fact, there was a person in the barn working with these rabbits. He turned over his shoulder and looked at the little filly, smiling.
“You’re an odd little one, aren’t you?” he said. She didn’t really understand why he was talking to her, but he kept chatting with her, and finally mentioned the rabbits were called Rhinelanders, just like her. They were German. In fact, these animals were Rhineland’s namesake animal, and after watching them for awhile, she couldn’t be more proud.
Later on, the filly was taken in and fed for awhile before it was decided she was a horse who belonged in the wild. There wasn’t room in the stables, anyway. She was released, and she found her way back to the Cimarron herd, and she found Dustin, one of Hotspur’s rangers, waiting for her to take her back home.

Notes for when rendering/drawing Rhineland:
-Her left side is marked in a more single-spotted fashion, whereas her right side is more separated.
-The front of her mane, near her face, is faded, as is the base of her tail.
-The spot on her left side of her face is fawn, the right side is black
-She has a dorsal stripe. It is markedly wide, black, and brindled with fawn.

Note: Do not take her design details! I don't mean to say I want to have the only tri-color on the source. Just don't steal the idea of the markings. I want her to be interesting and unique!
