Personality: Athena is an odd and loyal mare. She doesn't really like other people so she doesn't make friends very easily and when she does she cares deeply for them and does everything in her power to keep them close. When she is around those she care for she is playful and loving to no end. Around strangers or those she doesn't like she can be very aggressive and will kick and bite at them. On good days she is a big flirt.

Likes: Fruit, being with Nitika, long rides, Chief Coyote, baths, water, cloudy days, playing with foals, flirting with stallions, being around her friends, lazy days with Nitika, Her cloth bridle that was given to her by Nitika.

Dislikes: The Calvary, most people, some stallions, hot days, being cooped up, not getting to see Nitika, saddles, guns, wild fires, most bridles.

History:

            Athena was born and raised in a small village with her mother. She was playful and joy to be around in her foal days but when she turned into a yearling she became more mean towards those she didn't know which made it hard on most of the natives who wanted her. She had no rider for most of her life but she had been trained somewhat so when a group of Lakota pasted the village they traded her to them. She said goodbye to her mother and few friends she had before she found herself in the hands of woman who was kind to her.

            She was trained more with gentle hands that were always calm. Athena took to this girl right away and when she was given her white cloth bridle that she almost always wore she was proud to call herself Nitika's friend and horse. The group soon got to their new home and it was there that they met the Chief Coyote who at first Athena wasn't sure about but Nitika liked him. As they settled into the place the two of them went on one of their many rides but this one didn't end the same way. They ran into a group of Calvary men and Nitika was take from her back. Hating the fact that the men were touch her and her rider. She bit and kicked at the men until they let go of her and knowing she couldn't get Nitika out by herself she ran back to the village for help. Not really trusting anyone Athena went to the only other person she knew Chief Coyote.

            Allowing him onto her back she took him back to where Nitika was. He saved her and she carried them both back to the village. She considered Chief Coyote a friend and it was from there that she had put her trust in him as well.
