Personality: Buddy has a very calm air to him. He is the type of stallion who wants respect and charge of things. He wont usually yell or get angry but when in battle, he dedicates his life to winning and galloping by his soldiers. He has alot of knowledge which he likes to share with the younguns. He can be snappy but never has any intention to hurt an innocent life. He is loyal and only wants to please the herd with his own sacrifices if nessesary.

History:
Buddy was born in the cavalry a few minutes before his brother, Wind. The two were insepperable and wandered around the cavalry fort together, causing mischief and flirting with the cavary fillies. Buddy was considered one of the finest colts they had, had in a couple of years. They also wanted to take Wind aswell. Buddy was honoured and felt like he had a purpose, when he was a yearling, the cavalry were going to send him off with his brother as a gift to the U.S president, in return for money to afford more top class horses. The Indian tribe had another idea. They raided the cavalry and took many horses, including Wind and Buddy.

The two were upset at first, but came to see how differently they cared for their horses, they treated them as family. Not just soldiers in training, Buddy came to know all the humans and horses and fell in love with the tribe, he and Wind stared living their own lives in the tribe, having their own friends and humans. They eventually starte seeing eachother more, but when Buddy saw Wind again, Wind was very ill. He was weak and had a sickly voice. Buddy was concerned about him and stuck by his side, acting as a somewhat protector.

When Buddy and Wind were 3 years old, they were thinking of ways to cure Wind's illness, a usual thing for them two. A black stallion approached, he seemed calm and innocent so the boys began to talk with him. He was wild and his name was strider. After he heard the two boys story, he offered them a place in the herd. Wind gradually accepted but Buddy remained loyal to his tribe, he was too attached and knew nothing about the ways of the wild. He lived in the lakota tribe until he was 5, he got the shock of his life when Wind returned, he looked much better although he was still sick. The two told eachother what had been going on and Wind mentioned that he was attempting to start a herd. He invited Buddy to join as the lead soldier, Buddy was torn but knew how much Wind needed this and accepted.
