“Biography”
Everything has a Beginning
Raised just as any other wild colt, at two years of age he was driven out of his home herd. This didn’t bother him too much, except for the loneliness. For a while he wondered about aimlessly, wondering when he’d find a family again. After a whole year of this he met a lost little filly out in the woods. The little flaxen chestnut paint filly was scarred and flighty, but he got her calmed down where he could help her out. Her name ended up being Rain and she had piddled behind when her family were moving on. She had been running through the woods looking for them, but just got turned around.
Pistorious had passed a herd back a bit in the valley, there had been a chestnut mare that seemed to fog his mind when he looked at the little filly. She must be her mother. Pistorious led Rain back through the woods and to her family. When they topped the hill, the herd below was in a ruckus, but when little Rain let out a squeal of excitement, all heads turned their way and the chestnut mare he had seen earlier bolted for them. Pistorious watched as mother and daughter exchanged loving nuzzles, but then drew his attention to a large black paint stallion coming up. Pistorious backed up a bit, but Rain explained things before the stallion could tear into the dunalino colt. After that day Pistorious was welcomed to live in their herd for as long as he liked.
He thought he would have liked to live there for a long time, but then he found out they were Indian horses and that the Indians would come and drive them back to the village at the end of winter. So once more Pistorious set out… this time looking to start his own herd.
